I was looking at a Springfield M1a yesterday when i bought my Glock. Looks like a nice rifle, and after doing a little reaserch on it via internet i'am even more interested. Does anyone on here have one, and what do you think of it? Can you tell me some pros and cons?

Pros and cons

Lots and lots of pros. They're kind of like the Glock of the Rifle world. Reliable, rugged, accurate, just good rifles all around. The only con I can think of is magazine price and ammo prices. Mags are pretty pricey compared to AK or AR mags, and 308 is quite a bit more than the other two as well. If it weren't for that, I'd have a squad scout rather than my Bushmaster.

almost all pros. In my opinion, the only con besides what runaway said, is weight (which isn't really a con because its needed). its a little heavier than an AR type rifle, but it helps out with the recoil. I have the squad scout, and its my favorite rifle

Quinton, Marvin, Reaper, samD, fordvg, and PKato, all on at once? That's a lot of weight in here at once.
