SPRINGS IN CLIPS

I always heard or thought that leaving an auto loaded by the bed {for say a year or so} would weaken the spring, and cause the gun to posabley jam? Living in the city sometimes I dont get to shoot much, I know thats bad but sometimes it happens. Im looking at Glock 17, do you think there is any problem with leaving it loaded for long pereiods of time. Thanks ELDON

i have always used the two mag system keep 1 mag loaded and every six months empty it and load the other one so that the 2 mags are regularly switched and the springs get some r and r

mag springs

i do the same thing as greasypaws but i have a 3 mag rotation for most of my guns. I also like leaving room for the bullets to breath, so i don't leave a mag fully loaded. if the mag holds 15 rds, I will leave it loaded with 14. if it hold 13, I leave 12 loaded etc... eventually (after years) you are gonna have to replace the springs anyway... with a glock it will be really cheap. Plus, it take a lot to make a glock jam.

Mag Springs

i own a glock 17,22,and 23 and a ton of mags. all loaded some don't get unloaded for atleast a year to year and a half. where i work i have actually have seen ammo in mags so long it was corrosive and never a problem with the springs. yes it is good to rotate it wont kill the mags if you dont

I got revolvers, [not enough but i got em ] i want a Colt 45 acp Combat Comander, I used to have 9mm Colt Combat Comander it was a very nice gun.
