From a friend of a friend…….many of the numbers have been verified on the national news. It’s kind of interesting to see a line item list of the proposed expenditures in this so-called stimulus bill that voters can make a judgment about. I think it is well worth your time to take a look at the list. I make the total to be 584.37 BILLION dollars which is obviously not the total bill which would be another 200 billion or more depending on which version of the bill passes.

The only infrastructure expenditure I saw on this list was 4.5 billion for the electricity grid, which was probably not nearly enough for that; and the 2 billion for the clean coal plant. Where are all the expenditures for highways, and bridges and other infrastructure? Perhaps they are included in the other 200 billion – 300 billion contained in the bill, but they certainly do NOT make up a majority of this bill as we were told. A lot of “government jobs” will be created by this bill, but not much in the private sector which is supposed to be the foundation of the economy of this country. The so-called “green expenditures” may create some private sector jobs, but I believe that history shows that the private sector has a much better record of market driven job creation than the government has of subsidized job creation. It seems to me that if we want government to finance a change over to green technology, we ought to debate it and vote it honestly in a separate bill rather that burying it in hurry up stimulus legislation. This list suggests to me a lot of political payoffs to special interest groups in return for their political support. Even if many of the expenditures are worthy, can we afford these expenditures with the huge deficits we are running at the federal and state level? Seems to me that in hard economic times the government needs to cut back just as families and businesses have to do.

Finally, why the rush? The hurry up TARP legislation last fall did not have much immediate impact, but added a lot of long term debt, and now the Congressional Budget Office says that the government overpaid for much of what they bought, and they are having great difficulty in learning where the TARP money was ultimately spent.

This may be worth passing along to you e-mail buddies, or telling your congress members and senators what you think about it about before the vote on Sunday or Monday.

Hope you and your family are well.
Obama said today that we may not survive if we don't pass his stimulus
package. Sounds more like fear mongering to me, but President Obama says
it's absolutely necessary to our nation's survival, so I looked at
what's in the stimulus package to see what we 'have to pass' in
order that we as a nation can survive.

Check it out yourself. Feel free to send this list out to anybody on your mail
list if you want -- I have done the fact checking from the stimulus bill already
and I hope our law makers will do the same and get rid of most or all of this
crap.

This is what you get when the socialists run someone with no experience that can be easily manipulated by Reid and Pelosi.

Good buy USA

It's been a fun ride, but it's over for sure now. Buy ammo and buy lots of it. When people get deperate and they will, they will not be knocking at your door rather kicking it down. Stock the freezer and buy canned goods. This is gunna be a LONG hard ride. We have to hit bottom before we can rebuild. Lets hope "We the people" stand up for the constitution and what it stands for. We have to tear this big PIG apart before we can do anything to fix it.

I know it's not much

compared tothe total, but why the fuck does Homeland Security need a new headquarters building? The Department has only been around since '01, right?
