How ya doing Jerry? Hey, quick question for you if you don't mind. How much of a pain in the ass was it getting started on your Mandolin??
I'm thinking about one, sure would like to give one a try, & also a DoBro???
luckybychoice
just saw your post here, the mandolin is not that bad really,GDAE,tuning takes a little fooling around, but you just can't be in a bad mood and play a mandolin,i really like how mine sounds, you know the "CHOP" of a mandolin is just cool.I'd try it if i was you.
the Dobro is GBDGBD,so it's difficult for me to switch into that gear, but fun to play nonetheless.
Larry Wagner
Evening Jerry,
Good to hear from ya. Yea, I always wanted to, but never did. (have the guts)
Love a mandolin & someone who knows what there doing with it. (Just like a harp!!!)
That reminds me Jerry, does momma have any CD's out. If so, ask her if us Gunslutters , or lady's who shoot Dan's in pink hats get a discount & what's the price? I'm serious, would love a good harp CD. Think I'm gonna start looking for a good used mandolin & give it a shot.
Thanks LBC,
Larry Wagner
How ya doing this AM??
Larry Wagner
Back to bed I go for a while. Help your self & don't trash the place or Vaq will have to settle you down!!! See ya later guys.
Vaquero
Slow day at the coffee shop today?
Sorry I missed it. Looks like it's gonna be long days here.
On the top ten page, I guess I like the S&W because I'm a sucker for fully adjustable sights.
Also just wanted to move it over here and not clutter Marvin's excellent post with our inane chatter! LOL!!
Larry Wagner
Have you ever shot a Model 41? they are sweet & there rep is truly deserved & well earned. No I don't want to clutter, or hijack post's either. I'm working real hard on that. but you know me, most times, what ever it is, I just blurt it out???? Give me about 10 then check your inbox
HampsterW
that the proprietor got 'doped up', grabbed blanky and slithered back off to bed by the time I arrived at 0730....LOL!
Vaquero
so I see, the 1/2 pot of coffee left over looks and smells like burnt motor oil!
It's ok, I'll have the main area spic and span by morning.
You wanna give me a hand with the toilet? LOL!
HampsterW
'the head' is the PLO's job, I will get my toothbrush.....LOL
Larry Wagner
Spic & Span my fine furry friend, Spic & Span!!! LMAO
Larry Wagner
Yea I did, thought i really tore this shinny new shoulder up. You know it's hurting REAL bad when I eat pain killers. Besides, I knew you were coming in to keep things on the Up & Up, even though slightly twisted. LOL
HampsterW
until fleabear is in the house pimpi'n his Llamas....
Larry Wagner
else with 4 legs from what I hear. I had a 4" 357 Llama once years ago, got stolen, How old is Ebear, wonder if he stole it then tried to screw it???
Vaquero
Nope, never held one. I have had the pleasure shooting many variations of the Ruger mk series. Never met one I didn't like.
I had an aquaintance bring one over. He'd dug it out of a house fire. Yep, his. Asked me to look it over and advise on wether it would function or not. I cleaned and oiled the hell out of it. Inspected it and decided to give it a go. The damn thing functioned flawlessly and punched cans and such quite well. I guess that's what sold me on the Ruger label.
Larry Wagner
I have heard stories like that many times about Rugers, & have had several of the same sort of request, Fire, Water, one went off a small mountain. There better than a Timex. I am a Ruger fan through & through from way back in the old 3 screw days.
HampsterW
my P-89 is the most dependable pistol that I have ever owned, too bad it's so damn blocky or I would carry it!
Larry Wagner
is the same way, but I pack it all day long without a problem.
Vaquero
PM back to ya Larry.
Hamp! Hows the parts peddler doing?
Sheesh (nod to pard) The office time then the questionable connection over here have really cut into my GS time.
HampsterW
is my slower time of year so I have more time to haunt the halls of Gunslot....Sounds like you are out of the office, where you like to be....Larry, I just am not comfortable packing anything more than my PPS sitting at a desk all day, maybe I am just a puss...LOL I have tried different things and they just don't feel natural like my Walther and it's very dependable as well.
Larry Wagner
Puss???? Hamp?? Yea right, don't wanna hear that crap come out of you again Mr, PLO!!!
Alright, Chow!!
HampsterW
