Larry, I think I'm gonna change the hydraulic fluid and filters on the bobcat. Somehow I've got water in the system.

Yea, get it flushed & changed for sure, check over the suction or low pressure side of the system
for any "up right" control plungers or areas around any seal points where water can sit??

I appreciate the hints, really. I do good on the pressure side (cuz leaks are easy to spot) but this thing gets moisture just sitting.??? (if it rains) As soon as I get it dried out, I'm building a shed to keep it under.

Any advice on flushing the system? Is there an additive or particular fluid I should look for?

It aint gonna do it it's self! Now, where's my rag pile?

is that the case or can you just bleed.. i've always heard you have to flush, but in the real world wonder if you can just bleed like an old brake line..

You really want to get all the crud flushed out, even more critical if it has been setting in there a while I know a bunch of folks that sat "Oh hell, just drain & refill" Trouble is, before you know it your rebuilding the entire system & there saying "I don't know what happened" That's OK, I do!!
