I had a friend who had quad bypass. Worst thing he ever did after the surgery was try to close a wire gate. That brought tears to my eyes just thinking about it!

Larry, Yep, just catching yp on the Rem 78 stuff. If you get it for 225 I'd say you done good. It'd probly fetch the 400 around here, if it's in as good a condition as I'm understanding.

Around here, pawn shops, & a couple of the larger gun shops in that condition, with a half good scope, are going for 200 to 225, saw one with a better scope for 250.
So basically, 243 & 4 boxes for 225. I don't think I'm skinning him, I think it's fair for here.

It's starting to warm up a bit outside. Cabin fever is a horrible thing!

Adam that "Linus" thing is great.. to funny, and not to far off.. Gloria got me a blanket last year (QVC had one for all the services) and the Navy one is blue..

The girls got up at 2:30 this morning, and believe it or not did that whole "black Friday" thing.. Hard to believe, and harder when its 18 degrees outside.. AZ supposed to be warm.. sheesh..

On the Prison thing, i didn't quite make it the full distance to retirement.. I have full disability due to an inoperable back.. This is one of those 4 issues things that got progressively worse over the years, and for what its worth the state was really good to me..

We could see this coming a long way in the future.. I had built up a good relationship with various Wardens over the years, and the deal was they really tried to accommodate me..Thats one of the reasons i went with the Women's units toward the end of my carrier.. But the back went down hill before i could go the full distance so i wound up doing an early retirement (with the depts help, so the disability was a snap)

I loved that job.. and to be honest there was only a couple of times i was ever uneasy on a yard.. When one "goes off" it can be quite an experiance, but if you treat the Inmates with respect, and still "have a set" when your pushed, its a safer place than walmart was this morning at O Dark thirty..

I had a couple of cousins try the prison guard
job and didn't last a year. They weren't exactly
wimps either but they said they didn't feel they
had back up they could depend on.

Talking about feet.. you guys are talking to a celebrity of sorts.. i have THE ugliest feet in the western US.. Serious I'm not allowed to take off my shoes in front of the g-kids..

This is not part of the disability, matter of fact i backpacked and ran with this..

My right big to is at a 45 degree and have a HUGE.. talking like boon and crockett record huge bunion.. toenail fungus, size 13, more hair on the toes (on any one of them) than on my chest..

In short i really do have ugly feet.. actually had a hospital worker (know those pressure hose they put on you) GASP when she saw my foot.. True story.. no pain but the daughter asked me in a nice way if i would "be careful" about letting the girls see my feet.. I've laughed about this for ever, and forgot or would have mentioned it earlier..

I really am.. Blessed with great friends (back at ya Pard) a wife who loves me (least more than julio) a family thats well and healthy, and a psa thats going down faster than the docs thought possilbe.. in short im a lucky man..

Got some flat ugly feet, but a lucky man.. catch you dudes later.. Girls are back..
