stupd red do question
I got a cheapo BSA red dot for my Cheapo highpoint 9 caribine. I installed it lastnight and noticed if I moved my head while looking through the scope the dot moved all over the place. Are these scopes designed to be used with both eyes open? Sorr for the stupidity but I have never used a red dot. 01*20*2013 Obamas last day! |

that it is not a good scope. A good scope will not move as you move your head. Someone bail me out here. I have forgotten the word for this. Help

If you put your weapon on a stable rest and aim at a point, when you move your head, the dot moves in the scope, but you'll see it's still on target. Red dots don't require a consistent stockweld like iron sights or scopes.

Sorry, didn't read the question correctley. Scopes do this.

I'll just put some paper up Saturday and see what happens. I know the scope is crap, shit so is the gun for that matter. it's just my plinker anyhow. Thanks guys..J

scope worked incredibly well, got tight groups at 100 yards. Not bad for that pos gun.
runawaygun762
define "tight" group at 100 yds for a hi point 9mm carbine, or any 9mm carbine for that matter.

got all but one shot in an 8 inch circle. Thats nothing for most guns but for that pile I was happy.

I also stuck 4 pop cans up to the right of the target and hit all 4 with 4 shots. This was standing shots BTW. And I do not claim to be a good shot FYI

Well, it's not designed for that kind of range, so, good job.
