I thought [always dangerous] I would try something new in the way of being a public nuisance, and y'all can certainly tell me either you like it or maybe I should shut up and sit down. The idea is not particularly novel: Post something genuinely educational, but related to what has happened, recently, OR IS happening in our world right now, regardless of topic.

So as not to be insulting, I would title such postings as "DID YOU KNOW?"

EXAMPLE: DID YOU KNOW?.......................

The USA has contributed an average of $3Billion per year, over the last several years, to Israel. Most of the "contributions" have been in the form of weapons of the type that the Israelis are not capable of producing, as opposed to cash. And what do we get back? We have up to now, gotten their fidelity and mutual protection [YES, I SAID PROTECTION, because when they fight to take down the subsidiaries of the Muslim Brotherhood and Iranian Theocracy, they are fighting the elements of radical Islam, who wish to kill us].
They have given us the results of their considerable science and engineering, such as advances in medical research (like the exo-skeleton that permits quadriplegics to walk, and innovative surgical tools and techniques). They also--AS A RESULT OF THEIR OWN SPY SATELLITES, have given us and are continuing to give us, considerable valuable intelligence about events and activities in the middle east.

It is understandable, that their attack of our intelligence ship---the Liberty----during the 1976, six day war, will never be forgiven by many US citizens, and no amount of apologies or reparations will excuse this unfortunate killing and wounding of US personnel. With all of the investigation and analysis of this event, one simple question, has never been answered---What POSSIBLE motive could the Israelis have had, to have committed such an obvious blunder?

I have nothing against spirited disagreement with friendly, respectful argumentation, whether about guns, naked women, or politics.
I don't mean to complain, but our membership in days gone by, seemed to enjoy discussing threats to our country, and what to do about them. We had some good interchanges, but that seems to have fallen off dramatically except for a few of us who seem concerned, and are not afraid of expressing their opinions, reasoning, and potential solutions. So, I say HOOAH for the CaptMaxs, Daisycutters, SJMBs, our former Presidente, and even me.

For good measure,[ for you,] having shot just about every brand of modern day 9mm, I believe my Sig SP2022 is the most accurate polymer semi, I ever shot.

for ease of carry, because the SP2022 is somewhat big to conceal. [ Incidentally, I believe the Hi-Power is the most accurate of ANY kind of 9mm, I have ever shot. It fit my hand as though JB, himself, made a mold of my hand, and built it to fit the hand from which the mold came. Also, since I was highly trained and experienced with the 1911 manual of arms, that made it all the more comfortable.]

I am very impressed with Sig Sauer pistols, even though they have had some periodic design/production booboos. I guess every major manufacturers have had their share, also. But considering the Sig prices, maybe we should be surprised at any booboos.

I recently got a 9mm black JR rifle, It is a hoot to shoot, and surprisingly accurate out to 100' with just a red dot. My guess is the 16" barrel got me about 400 ft/second mv, and that helped with the trajectory. I might borrow a chrony, just to see.

LLE, IMO, Israel has been (but not likely for long) the only TRUE friend and ally America has had for many decades now. Politically, of course. Not in terms of a state's citizens. That will always be a mixed bag. But within these states' leadership, any friendship there has been has been usually one-sided our for their self interest only.
Not saying that is wholly a bad thing. The U.S. does that as well, and rightly so for the most part. I think a nation's first interests should be self-centered. But many of our "friends" seem to have the feel of the kind of back-stabbing relationship as Hitler had with Stalin in '38.

lol, Daisy. HiPoint sux! Always a good one.

Self serving quid pro quos have been the currency of international relations and national politics, on this planet, since we got off of all fours and began living as tribes. But who can understand the POTUS support for the Muslim Brotherhood, and his succumbing to the naked, nuclear con job from the Iranian theocrats, both of whom are supporters of global jihad. Is that in our nation's best self interest?? We have already felt the pain resulting from the former, and we and the Israelis are going to feel the pain of the latter, perhaps sooner than we think, unless the Israelis do the undiplomatic job that needs to be done, in the near future.
