S&W 1911 "E" Series
Just saw these on S&W website. Anyone out there have experience with these? They look more customized on the outside (Rail, frontstrap checkering, slide serrations etc) but are they any diferent internally? |

I know they have an external extractor like sigs do but other than that I think most of the rest of the internals are normal.

Thanks HK45. I did some more searching and learned the following. The ones with the rail (SW1911TA) will have night sigts and what looks like more aggressive grips and checkering on the rear of the slide. Internally all of the "E" series will have titanium firing pins without the internal locks and more aggressive ejection ports. The extractor is the the oversized one from their PC line. The commander size can be had with a bobtail. I like it.

from what I have heard, they are nice 1911s. I dont have a smith and wesson myself, but if I did, it would be a revolver of some kind and a nice SW1911.
