Sw 457 issue. Who can help?
This smith n Wesson will not fully cock back. I have all ready installed a plunger and mainspring. Has anyone had this problem, or know what it could be? |

I dont know anything about S&W pistols, but I would check the trigger assembly once more and make sure the springs are seated correctly, and all the screws are properly tightened. hope that helps, what little knowledge it was.

Pull the grips off of it, the upper also and clean it throughly. Once you have it clean, before putting it back together or even putting the grip back on. Do a function test of the Hammer Cocking, you will have to put a empty mag in it for the trigger to drop the hammer because of the Mag Safety Lock Out.
You should be able to see where of if it is binding in this condition.
Do a web search and get the exploded diagram view of your pistol before you take it down any further if you have to replace any springs or such....
