I am going to give my 10/22 the tactical look. What is everyones take on stocks? I have been looking at Christie, but not sure. I like some of the reviews on the quality, but like with everything there is always conflicting reviews. |

Sorry for just getting to this. I thought I posted a reply before, but I guess I didn't. What look are you going for? AR? AK? SKS? Also, I know you said tactical, but did you know they make an M1 carbine stock? It looks pretty good. $109. http://www.eabco.com/102201.html
There is a nice Krinkov style:

Promag has an AR style that lets you add rail accessories:

ATI has a pretty sweet SKS style.

Also, there is even a 10/22 gatling gun conversion:

I know that's not what you're looking for, but I thought it was pretty cool.
Reaper308
that gatling conversion is pretty crazy

If I had the $$, I would love to have it just to play with it.

BRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
That would be fun to play with.
Akins still has a warehouse packed with the damn things up in Palm Harbor. Billy has a couple of them stuck away. It's fun, more realistic being 22.
Here is another option that looks interesting, though NFA questionable if you ask me..

This is also one Billy has with a AAC can on it... http://www.selectfirellc.com/

is the one I would go with for any 10/22 build I was considering for truck use. Solid as hell once unfolded and nice and compact when folded for behind or under the seat storage.

The Tommy conversion is really cool also. Reaper, yeah the Gatling is an awesome setup. That just has fun written all over it. Saint, not set on a specific look i'm just getting input from real people and not just sales people. I haven't seen the M1, i'm heading there now.

My son has one of these and it is pretty good, but the limitation is mostly that the 10/22 rifle side mount in the system where the mags have now sideways pressure on them. This seems to cause feeding issues regularly, even more so than in the 10/22 anyway. Butler Creek Steel Lips mags have been our best performers with any 10/22 rifles and work the best in this, but 25 rd mags goes fast at full auto.
The Tri-pod on this weapon is way to short. One is forced to sit on the ground or lay prone to aim at all through the useless sights or mount it on a platform or table in order to use it.
Using the drum mags appears virtually impossible since the weight pulls the mags too far out of whack and will not allow many rounds to work properly. One would need to come up with a magazine stabilizer to really use a drum mag.
It is a cool novelty item, but we almost never use it since it is bulky and does not do much at all... Maybe we will do an exploding video movie with it to find a use of some kind...
My Advice: Save your money and go with a gsg-5, .22 cal AR, or the AK47 -22 they work better and will be more used...
