the inlaws are here,my mother in law/bro in law are in town, kid wants to go shooting so we bought a lil ammo last nite.hope to get out by thursday afternoon.gunna have to watch him closely at first....he was talking some silly dangerousness about firing a rifle one handed when he went out with his dad.told him not with me,and not with my guns thats not safe,so well see how long his shooting privileges last under my watch.hope he listens, and practices good muzzle awareness and proper safety operation.shooting is good for a kid,and i don't want to tell him he can't shoot, but he's a 13 year old who seems to already know everything(he thinks) so teaching him something new or correct may not sit well with him,and that don't sit well with me lol.

I hope it goes well. Sounds like he's got some ideas that you need to change. It'll be for the best.

yep, movies and video games give them the wrong ideas.its gina be safety safety safety and pick and choose your target no pulling the trigger to make a boom and who cares where the bullet goes.if he does ok,ill throw some sporting clays for him and let him use my rem 1100.

ditto on that. Big pet peeve of mine when I bump into kid that are practically firearm instructors due to all their video game expertise.

all went well, kid needs to learn to put weapons on safe when empty, but no muzzle sweeps, and never loaded in an unsafe direction,he did improperly mislead my sks,and when it jammed said it was because of "dirty ammunition"kids.........got all the answers to the universe.hahahahahahaha

And I'm sure he thought of that all on his own and isn't repeating a catch phrase he got out of some magazine, lmao.
