Not much of

a tat fan myself Leanne, but to each their own. While I do admire the art work involved, I just can't get passed having something that is not easily removed.

Ink...

I personally think that as long as your careful in your selection of what you get it's fine. I also feel that it is just enhancing, not a new one.

the big outline of Vietnam was originally to honor the 24 that we lost.. Just can't seem to get the right thing to put in it.. one of these days it will work out.. Harley inks easy have 3 of those.. cross on L bicep, couple navy fouled anchors.. the funniest tat i have is on my L ankle..

Great story.. stoped on the way out of SV heading to Tucson.. bunch of bikes parked outside a parlor right out side the main gate.. i walk in and place was ...hmm lets just say you could take deep breaths and get happy.. guy throwing ink tells me their out of beer, and out of money.. Only thing they have is weed, and ink..Tells me if i can take care of the beer, i can pick out a flash, and share in the smoke..

Quickest deal i ever made.. ran next door, and picked up a case.. couple hours later.. Life is wonderful.. I had picked out a Wolf on top of a mesa.. only color i have (yellow moon).. So course its all bandaged up.. take the bandage off the next day to put vaseline on it.. i have a schnauzer on my calf.. No kidding.. post a pic one of these days.. what was supposed to be a wolf is a schnauzer.. Every time i look at that thing i crack up..

LMAO

damn...

I saw a guy who had the outline of Vietnam on his back and inside was the POW/MIA Flag. Well it looked more like someone had Cut out the Flag with a Vietnam shaped Cookie Cutter.

When it comes to women I love look at naked, clear, unmarked skin. Tattoos spoil that for me. I'm not in the market, I have all the woman I want but if I were looking a tattoo would be a disqualifier.
You enjoy them so go for it as long as it don't mess up domestic tranquility

piercings..

hmm.. ok on women i guess.. the geez in me keeps me from ever thinking about an ear ring.. Had lots of friends who had them, but could never see myself with one..

Only seen one piercing that really worked.. Older women in an upscale mall store.. she had a diamond on the side of her nose.. ugly as this sounds it worked, and was discreet..

This thing was sorta "up" there and wondered how she had it secured.. Thinking of those "keeper" thingies.. Don't know how she got a finger up that high..Wanted to ask her, but can you see that.. duhh.. how ya keep that thing in there, you have a lock washer on it or what..

So then Grandpa had mall security called on his ass..

oh yeah.. and for the record i neither like or understand the whole eyebrow thing.. Kid lives up the mountain from us.. walks by our place after he's dropped off from school.. long black coat (goth i guess) and has what looks like a grill from a 56 Buick hanging off his eyebrows..

While im ranting and/or rambling.. I always liked the whole black deal of putting diamonds or other "things" in there front teeth.. think the four suits of cards is the winner there.. I know one of the funniest things i've ever read was when Leon Spinks.(NOT the smartest of the Spinks brothers) had his teeth stolen by a "pro" a month or so after he won the title..

I still remember Leon mostly toothless.. wailing bout her stealing his "grill"..

has what appears to be .45 size holes in his ear lobes. I accused him of being shot at, stabbed by a pee'd off girl friend (I was thinking boyfriend) and have ragged him no end about the whistling noise the wind must make blowing through his holes. He can't run when I enter his checkout lane :<))
They'll NEVER grow shut. "Hey grampa, what happened to your ears?" How will he answer that w/o sounding less that sincere? LOL

Holes in ears

Whatever the hell that is about. I got kicked out of a convenience store last summer. My fault, I just couldn't keep my mouth shut. A "man", as DC calls 'em, came in with holes in his ear lobes you could throw a ping pong ball through. All I asked was "does yer boyfriend like them love handles?".
I wasn't that thirsty anyway.

Gauges are one thing, but you see people walking around with Bic lighters and other odd things stuffed in their ear lobes.

I've seen some that could put a bar at the bottom of the hole to hold it open and walk around with Canaries swinging in them.

Facial Tattoos are picking up steam down here now and Branding/Scarification is getting to be really common too.

Piercings...

I used to have 20 of them. One in my ear, one through my nipple, and 9 bars up each side of my rib cage, spaced in-between my ribs. Came under fire once, and ripped 2 out putting armor on to energetically without a shirt on. They came out that night. Lol! Haven't worn an earring in years, but hole never closed.

yeah, mines not closed either and it has been at least 28 years since I wore one.

of course that was back when you wore it in the left ear otherwise guys would try to pick you up. Now I see guys wearing Hoops in both ears.

It says something about them that they want to convey, though it isn't always evident without explanation.

I remember the looks I would get back in the 70's having hair almost to my ass wearing a bandanna, leaf earing, tshirt stuffed into my back pocket, jeans blown out all over the place and flip flop's or bare foot, optional.

Used to scare the hell out of elderly people up until I helpped chain a flat for them or some such and refused to take anything for doing it because it was just the right thing to do, helping them out.

Though, when my son wore all his piercings and gauges I had a talk with him about things that you live with forever. He didn't go over board and now at 27 he isn't wearing any of them and you wouldn't even know he had them unless he put it all back in.

Like T Backs, it works for some and some shouldn't even consider them. LOL

Is cool. However, all my good scars fade to non-existence. I went to get a physical, and the doc was astonished.... Said if she wasn't reading the injuries out of my med records would never know of all my injuries. Guess I'm just lucky.

This one kept me alive

IWB worn CZ SP01 pic 2

It runs from above my left Kidney up and under my Sternum and back around and down above my right kidney.

Then I have a 8 inch one running vertical up my spine starting just below my belt then up.

You should see some of the looks I get on the beach. LOL

Cut the top of my right arm in half to the bone in two places, well kind of ice cream scooped it, but instead of out it was all pushed in and the cut continued up my forearm for a bit.

So, I do get some different looks, though, I have to admit it keeps people guessing and they generally give me some distance in crowds when at the beach concession stand out on Saint Pete Beach or Johns Pass. Hehehe

Sugery or accidents?

Looks like you've got me beat. The worst I got is a scar on my right arm from going through a windshield. I've got one above my left eye where it got busted open. A scar on my cheek from a knife. Those two are fading though. A scar on my palm from a knife. One from an appendectomy. That was a good story. I'll have to tell it some time. And a few minor ones from various scuffs over the years.

The right arm was going through a plate glass window. My knees and elbow where a Van windshield. :)

Well, my knees where actually a couple of different things.

eh, I wasn't going to live to see 18, 20, 25, 30 and then I woke up and wish I had not done half of what I did....

on my right shin. Leather sole of my shoe slipped on the edge of a 1" thick aluminum plarform, slid down the edge on my shin. That was uncomfortable I tell ya!
Second one, same shin, motorcycle kick starter, I got my shin raked again, Dr prescribed a massive dose of Ibuprofin, good thing an over dose only made me vomit, darn leg still hurt like hell for another month.

Then, cyst on belly, no biggie until they put the wrong kind of bandage on it ALLERGY. By the time I got to the hospital to have it removed the skin came off with it.

Next, hernia. Got home from the hospital, wife's nephew died, everyone but me went to funeral in the next state, good thing they left the TV remote and a bag of corn chips by my chair !

ISD, I hope you're finished collecting scars. From my own pain I know I sure as hell don't want you to suffer anymore !
