Taurus PT 640 PRO
Bought a taurus pt 640 last month for the wife. As she attempted to hit her target she found that the 8 type of sight doesn't help her to well. I'm looking to replace the rear sight with an adjustable sight but can't find one for this gun. Has anyone bought one of these pistols and or does anyone know where I can get an adjustable sight for it? Ron Paul 2012

I had just read this article, http://www.taurusarmed.net/forums/millennium-pro-pistols/64132-williams-... , from the sounds of it that part number should work and they are the same sight as on the PT 145 Mil Pro. I don't know any of this just saw the article.

I want a set for my XDm, but I've heard they're a real pain to put on my gun. Apparently the sights that come with it have to be ground off before new sights can be put on.
Nitris
I ordered a set of Williams sights.

once you get them in and put on. I'm curious to see how they would look.
Nitris
Will do, having them put on today or tomorrow.
update there on.
Nitris
Only thing I don't like is the sight sits up a little more than I like, but other than that "wow" dead on and wife can now hit her target.

Good shooting, Nitris.

I was curious to see how they would work. Glad you could get them adjusted right. I do see what mean about sticking up a bit.

Maybe getting fire sights for my 1911 wouldn't be a bad idea.

you should look at the Novak Tritium Night Sights. Unless you looking more for a target sight.

What's the cost differential between Novak and Williams? More? Less? Around the same? And why do you consider the Novaks better? I'm trying to make an informed decision before any purchase so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
