Taurus PT111 9mm
I may have a chance to acquire said piece of equipment, anyone have this and is it worth buying. I don't know exactly what year it is, can't be that old. I am going to see it this weekend and depending what you guys say, maybe make an offer. "We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home" Thomas Jefferson |

Not much, but if it helps great.. My broher lives down in Runaways Sierra Vista AZ, and has one.. he likes it, Bub is a retired Major, and likes (and knows) his guns as we do. He bought it based on quality for the bucks, and made the comment last week when talking about coming up to visit that he would bring it. I did'nt ask any details, but he sure implied he's happy with it. I have had a number (half dozen at least) of Taurus's over the years, and never had a bad one. These were all revolvers, but the quality issues should be the same. Hope it helps, if you don't mind what sort of bucks are you talking about.

greg, thanks for the heads up, he hasn't said for sure he's gonna sell it. He has Glocks and Sig Sauers. He doesn't really like it beacuse it is a sub compact. I'm gonna try to get him to sell it to me. Shak and a new guy told me how much they are worth so I'll go from there.

Good little gun, great for keeping in the truck. I would give somewhere in the $250 - $300 range for a used one. I believe you can get one new at Academy for $350. Also all Taurus firearms have a transferable lifetime warranty!

Great little gun. Paid $370 new at a gun shop. Small so its easy to carry. Feels good in my hand. Goes bang everytime. What more could you ask for.

Thanks Shak and anonymous New Guy, I'll keep that in mind during the negotiation process.

Well, the anticipated deal fell thru, he decided to keep the little bugger for his carry, over the Glock 36.
