Oh!

And now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind a moat with alligators.

I have a question...

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but why is it whenever a natural disaster hits now, people act like it's the end of the world? Isn't that why there is insurance? Those tornados that just slammed arkansa, georgia and the area were bad, and I am truely sorry for the loss of life, but I grew up in tornado alley, and have been through more then one myself. Our home and property was damaged many times, and totally wiped out once. We just rebuild and continue on. Now they have people who's homes are being flodded by the missippi, and these people are upset. Well, you build on a MAJOR river, then don't buy insurance, what do you expect? You decided to gamble, and like all games of chance, sometimes you lose. Why do people expect the goverment to bail them out? Let the bashing commence. :)

Why should it be a bother to any American Citizen as to some of our Taxes going to the support and recovery of fellow Americans?

http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/01/06/us-usa-aid-factbox-idUSTRE6054...

Also take into consideration the numbers do not include Guaranteed Federal backed Loans to Israel and others nations which we pay for....

Israel has a 10 Million a year Guaranteed Load, not including other Aide and Funds.

another link showing where Funding goes, again this is not including Loans...

Well,

I think this is apples and oranges. But I will say that in my opinion we shouldn't be helping out all these other countries when we can't help ourselves. I'm against all this spending in foriegn aid.

we take all that money in aid, and use it to build a moat, then put alligators in it. :)

I mean look at the Barrier Islands where every 10 years or so major storms in the North Atlantic wash all the houses away only to be rebuilt by FEMA and such. how in the hell do they allow them to build back on it knowing it is going to be an incurring cost that will only go up as the value of the dollar goes down and the prices of materials go up?

Did you read where Obama is wanting to increase the Foreign Funds to $50 billion a year. Could you imagine if they just used it to fund domestic needs?

Really tired of it all, the world loves to hate the USA and hates to love it's money. Screwed when we do and if we don't, almost sounds like the country is a Polygamist with unknown numbers of mouths to feed and bodies to dress...

*sigh*

I need to get some sleep, you have a great one and be safe.

Have you noticed that Obama is all about making himself popular? I believe he is honestly afraid to make the hard right choice over the easy wrong. Either that or he truely is trying to destroy our contry, literally.

I don't know if it is his intended goal or not, the demise of the Nation, but I do know he is laying the ground work which is going to screw the Nation and all the Sheapule for many years to come.

In all seriousness, I think Clinton would have had us in a better state by this time than Obama has us. I guess the Dem's felt that the Nation was more willing to have a Black President than a Woman President and that is why they took the parties popular candidate out of the drivers seat and put him in it.

I am far from religious and actually find it more mystical than anything. That said, he really is starting to resemble the Great Peace Maker prophesy speaks of in the book of Bow or Broil.
Along with a number of other Prophetic writings throughout the past.

Look at Egypt...

He has given them 541 Mil, and our approval rate there is AWESOME!!!! 15% of the people like us! WTF???? They hate our country but love our money? YOU DON'T GET IT BOTH WAYS!!!!! When will this country wake up and smell the coffee? The power of the federal goverment is VASTLY above what our fore-fathers EVER intended it to be. When will the sheeple :) figure out that if we want a say in our life, we need to return back to a STATE led goverment, and take control of our country as was intended. WOW! I'm starting to sound a bit radical. LOL!

You know Ronin...

"WOW! I'm starting to sound a bit radical." is a sad statement in and of itself...

When exactly did it become thought of as Radical to voice an opinion pertaining to the establishment of our Government and the state it is in at any given time?

Doing so is what led to the creation of this Nation.. lol

Not to insult anyone.

But I tend to feel that one should have to serve in the Military or some sort of Civil Service to ensure they have at least some personal investment into the continued existence and well being of the nation before they should be allowed to Vote. I also do not see signing up for Selective Service as fulfilling a Civil Service Capacity either.

To me it is pretty evident that otherwise the majority will ride on the suffrage of others before them who have and not give it a second thought at what price was paid for their ability to do so.

I agree compleately. Hell, I carry a copy of the constitution with me daily. I BELIEVE in what it says, and the intent behind those words. But every time a political conversation gets started and I pull it out, I can see the eyes rolling. I believe in the principles that made this country great, once apon a time..... Now I'm sick of being a citizen half the time. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my country, just hate what it has become.

I guess apathy rules the day for most...

So many people do not seem to really grasp that the Government is of and for the People, not some hidden Aristocracy living on the shoulders of the masses. At least it isn't supposed to be...
