Am I the only one on? It's getting boring here. And I have free time this morning too.

Allright, dammit, I'm just going to converse with my self.

Hey, what's up SJMB? I was thinking of getting a Glock 17, what do you think?

What? A glock? Those are plastic POS. You should get a 1911. It uses a "real" round and looks good.

LMAO @ u
I want to kill threats, not impress them. The Glock is a vastly superior pistol and the 9mm has been proven to be effective AND I have a 17rnd cap.

Hi-cap

Yeah, you need 17 rounds 'cause you can't hit shit and when you do, the bad guy laughs at you. My 1911 w/ its .45 kills bad guys with sheer intimidation. AND it doesn't blow up in my hand.

SJMB is a d*ck

THE GLOCK DOESN'T EVER MALFUNCTION!!! This only happens because people didn't use them right. Screw you. You can shove your 1911 up your arse.

** BTW the .45 goes to slow to hurt anybody. It just bounces of clothing.

AR? ha ha

I guess I should expect that from a Glock fanboy. Everybody knows the AR can't shoot past 15 yds. and the .223 is like a mosquito bite. You should use an AK. That's a real gun. Nya nya.

Don't get me wrong, the 1911 served us well, but it's outdated. The Beretta was a good replacement for it. More capacity, less weight for pistol and ammo, NATO standard ammo with a higher velocity. The only issues ever determined for this was the Ordinance dept. was buying cheap, inferior mags.

Let me correct you

I guess switching to it made sense in conventional warfare, but against enemies wearing body armor, the 9mm isn't cutting it. Especially when using ball ammo. Even w/o armor, the ball ammo at the higher velocity is more likely to over penetrate and not cause fatal wounds.
Besides, screw the Euro-trash dictating to us what ammo to use. If they want underpowered powder-puff rounds, more power to them and good luck with that.

Bottom line

The most effective round to use depends on the individual and what they can consistently hit the mark with without collateral damage. IMO.

A .500S&W outdoes them all, but if you can't hit the bad guy with it or, worse, kill the pregnant woman behind the bad guy (and/or behind a wall, etc.) with it, then it's not worth it's effectiveness on it's intended target.

Top shot - *SPOILER*

OK, is it me, or is Michael a hypocritical ass? Up until now, I was liking this guy. But this crap of "no one was manning up and admitting they sucked. It made me mad." really set me off. Hello, Mr. Kettle. Next to Cliff, he was the worst one out there. And he was mister "I won all these state and world shotgun competitions".
Did everyone else forget what happened in the competition? I was sure that the rest of them were going nominate him. Drew got shafted. But he did screw up the elimination.

Though, you figure the boy he beat shoots comp with the Glock 34 and Cliff shoots Revolvers and he still whipped his ass with a pistol he doesn't shoot... I figure he showed up for the elim at least.

Though the shotgun was bleh, he hit both 100 yard rifle shots in one shot, not a big deal I know, but a few of those rifle shooters took a number of shots to hit them 75 and 100 yard shots.

The Redhead is a prick.

Mike's baloney

I love all the comments mike made about how he was mad no one manned up. And how he called drew out. Especially when mike's hit ratio was 27% and drew's was 50%...the 50% mike claimed to have. I bet the man's going to feel like an idiot when he sees that episode. Assuming he can do math, that is.

Mikes Math

Mike isn't worried about Math....

He's a legend in his own mind.

I want to see him shoot pistol against Cliff just once, hell I want to see all of them do it. Drew? The Christian Camp Leader might have a good chance to keep up with him.

Mark on the red team is also from Saint Petersburg and a local shooter. He actually shoot pretty good over all but even he isn't in the same league over all in pistol shooting.

Hello? Anyone there? Ah, there you are. So, what do you think about government handouts?

Yeah, there are all these problems. The government needs to do something.

Are you simple?

Ah, the government IS the problem. Why should the government subsidize failure?

Golly, that sure is a big word you used there. Did your dad teach you? Oh that's right, you don't know who your dad is. And your mom is at the bars all night. Egalitarianism is one of the tenets of socialism.

Socialism

Christianity is based in egalitarianism. I was taught to help people in need. And what's so wrong with socialism? It just makes sure everyone gets a fair share.

Helping others is fine in church and community. Leave it out of government. And there's nothing wrong with socialism. In a socialist country somewhere else. America is based on personal liberty AND responsibility.

BTW, socialism makes everyone equally POOR.

Not a hypocrite. I just know the difference between a public works project and government forced charity. Apparently, you don't.

The government SHOULD build roads. It doesn't make sense for private firms to. But it DOESN'T make sense for the government to do something that private individuals can do better.

You still don't get it. I do care. So I personally give to those in need. Instead of always saying "The government should do something", why don't you whip out YOUR checkbook? You the selfish one. You CLAIM to care about others, but YOU don't want to take care of them. You want OTHERS to. Hypocrite.

OMG

You are amazingly stupid. The government has nothing. The PEOPLE have the money. The govt. takes it from us to do ANYTHING.

Imagine it this way. I ask you to give me $5000 so I can give it to charity. Wouldn't that raise an eyebrow? At least, if you have ANY common sense, it should. Why should you give me money to give to charity? Why not just do it yourself. Same thing.

I'll probably not be on for a while. I'm heading to Minnesota to spend the holidays with the in-laws. LBC, I'll be in your area, so if you see a handsome, dashing, Adonis like figure walking around, it's probably not me.

BUT, if you see an overweight, balding, goof, it might be. I'll check with the boss and see how full the itinerary is. If I have time and you're willing, maybe we can meet for a few suds and then go to the range. Or maybe the other way around. ;)

Take care, y'all. Have a great Christmas and hoping the new year is better for all.

This was my first exposure to our bud St. Johns psychosis.. It was.. hmm..

well... it was sorta a mix of ebear, and runs... minus bizarre sex of course..

Great read.. only.. will leave the comparison of Christianity, to socialism, via egalitarianism, to the angst riddled youth who have decided that camping out on concrete, and city parks is some how a better experience than camping out in the wilderness..

rock on St. J.. rock on.. This one did make me laugh out loud..

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
