He did SO want to be President. He could have outdone his father. He could have had the big office. He could have had big time press conferences. He could have pontificated, uttering lofty pronouncements in a sonorous drawl, and had the media actually listen to him.
Poor Al.
And think of the enjoyment the media would have had with Tipper as First Lady!
