I have the Encore 50cal. Muzzy. Topped with a Leupold 4.5x14x40 VXIII SF 30mm. LOVE IT.

I like the target pistols and rifles, but I seriously doubt they made all those barrels

so to produce a bolt gun, its a wonder what country is producing it because I am very doubtful its America

like charles daily contracts, the old were expensive, the new just junk

Yeah, I'd rather know their sticks are Stateside made, but at the end of the day (even) the Finns make very very good barrels...
My worry is the postings you can find on the net 'bout surface rusting on T/C metal, given their stuff is so so darn good! I'm gonna buy one but I sure as hell want T/C's Weather Shield 'coz I do feel they have a problem.
What I don't get is why they don't do their 28" sticks with the Weather Shield feature set. Does anybody have an idea? Will T/C do their anti-rust on 28"s?

Well 'Anonymous', I respect your opion but I have to tell you that if the T/C Encore Pro Hunter is "just junk" then the line of good hunters like HAWKEYE50 shooting them that stretches way way back around the block is strange! Like HAWKEYE50 I'll go with a .50 muzzy and I'll have probably a 243 or 7mm REM too... and if they're "just junk" I'll be the first to admit it here at GunsLot... but I wouldn't hold your breath. Okay?

I think not. I have a pro hunter 243 pistol. It is awesome..... Loud....yes.. but awesome. I don't know abot the rust thing. Mine is stainless and I take very good care of it. It has never had an issue. Did I say it was loud....
