So its been a long time since I have been here. I don't know if some of the original members remember me but I had the nick name SNAKS haha! But in any case I want to sincerely apologize for my past actions and would like to join the community and contribute to the site. With permission from El Presidente or with permission from the members that used to know me. Let by gones be by gones and water under the bridge etc. I have been racking up on Military surplus firearms and restoring them to there factory specs. I restored a 1916 Lee-Enfield No.1 MKIII* to factory BSA Specs and also restored a J.P Sauer and Sohn 1935 Mauser 98k. Got another K98k in the works. Thought I would ask to come back and if not I understand.

Thanks

Jon/Snake

months ago. Looks like we lost a large number of members, or at least they stopped coming around while the lights are on.
Pretty mellow "crowd" now, too mellow. Maybe I'll start a "I hate Glocks" thread just to get everyone's bile up LOL!!
You were going to junior college? What's new out your way??

I felt bad for selling it to the guy, a compulsive gun buyer, they lost their car to repo shortly after he bought the gun. I gave my M1 Garand to my son along with a Colt King Cobra and a ARG Mauser. Spell checker wants to substitute Mouser for Mauser :<) Two of the three guns are worth serious bucks.

I tried to expand my collection with a hunting rifle and 2 revolvers, The rifle was a .270 which I lost interest fast in it, I did have a Taurus Model 65 and a S&W Model 10-5, Bought the revolvers together from the same guy for $205 each sold them both later on. Got $300 out of the Taurus and got $350 for the S&W. Ended up getting both K98k rifles with the money but at separate times. I got the JP Sauer local and restored it by getting parts from www.libertytreecollectors.com . The second K98k I got was recently and its in my tipton vise waiting restoration. Got to save money up some more. Trying to find a factory WWII K98 sniper stock but no luck. May just restore it back to original like the JP Sauer. I shoot my bolt guns more than my autos. I plan on attempting the mad minute with my enfield soon. I practiced one day and got 22 rounds off in 1 minute and that was using 5 round strippers to reload. I got the basics down its just I screw up sometimes lol!

matches using my ARG Mauser. Required to reload once during the rapid fire phase. Of course the mouse guns, M1s, anything like that was quick but it's surprising how fast strippers work!
