As probably the oldest member of this site, and an old, pedantic fart, I want to first wish all of our military service Guns Lot members my sincere appreciation for your service to our Country. We are the fortunate ones who came home, but I mourn those of my buddies who did not.
And if there are any WW II members here, you are still my greatest of heroes.

Lastly, I wish to express my profound appreciation to all of our present active duty members. Yours is the most difficult duty at present, and you should rest assured that your Country supports you and holds you in the highest esteem.

All gave some

some gave all.............and for them

I will sound TAPS tomorrow.

Veterans Day

Thanks to all Vets! You have my unwavering gratitude.
Without your commitment and sacrifice, this country would have ceased to exist as we know it.
GOD Bless You!

Well said LLE

It is hard for those of us that did not or were not able to serve to completely understand the bond that exists between soldiers. I have heard it is stronger than most familial bonds. To all of those that served, my Brother, my Father, and my Grandfathers - I salute you and you forever have my undying gratitude and respect. Thank you.

Thanks

It was a privilege, sorry about the missing "link" in that ex order here it is:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/2010executive_order.pdf

there was also one signed in 93 by clinton (that no one read I mean who reads the bills before signing them?) that stated in a state of emergency the pres can suspend the powers of congress and senate for no less than 6 months, basically giving him unlimited power, I'm trying to find the order # now, it may have been scrubbed from the net
