The sharpshooter here asked for help and all you're doing is being childish. Here's a list of a few great brands to try:
Davis
Lorcin
Jennings
Phoenix
Hi-Point
Desert Eagle (Only in .50 AE, though)
Any of these brands will give you years of reliable service and will put your local gunsmith's children through college at an Ivy-League university

Runs is the voice of reason, compassion, and insight.....nah,he's flirting with the guy.
john kelley
Don't listen to runs those prices range from 200-2000 its not desert eagle its magnum research and I can't stress it enough DONT BUY JENNINGS there not called jamming jennings for nothin
CharlesW
Runs said those brands will put your
local gunsmiths kids through college.
I think he is saying those guns get a
lot of repair.

I know it's Magnum Research, but they make plenty of models that are terrible for personal defense like the Baby Eagle line of pistols. Those things are almost as bad as Glocks, Sigs, and HKs

For the money, a surplus rifle is hard to beat. You can get them fairly cheap, they last forever, and are built to take a beating.
If you want an AR, consider buying the components and putting it together yourself. If you shop around and watch the prices, you can get a lot of components cheaper than you could but the whole thing for. And a bonus to the AR family of rifles: Only the lower is considered a firearm under current US law, so you can get a different upper or even a caliber conversion through mail-order.
As far as handguns, if you want a semi auto, Bersa makes decent ones that are not too expensive. Or shell out 600 for a S&W.
Revolvers, i like Ruger but they're spendy. I like Rossi as well, they have a great little 38 snub.
Shotguns, H&R is good, especially the singles. And Mossberg. I love my 500 A Gold Trigger.
A good semi auto 22 is the Marlin 60, which you can get new for around 150, they're super accurate, reliable, and parts are pretty cheap if you do break it.
Hope all this helps! Good luck finding your gun(S)!
And remember, you need to SHOOT them to be good shooting them!

Lots of money going around there
Ishootdaily
Have you even shot before?
If so, what?

my first gun i shot was a IMI Desert Eagle my dad had and i was about 12 maybe 13
my dad had a few guns IMI Desert Eagle, a Remington pump-action shotgun, (sorry dont know the model all i know it was black and very hard to lift for me at that age ) a h & K gun if i remember right it was a 9mm , cant remember the name of it
oh my tag line is from a b movie i saw and i thought it was funny
for those of you who pointed it out lol
dove218
i am looking for something light but not too light
i was told h & K make good guns
not sure what i should buy for my first
hot_diggity87
h&k does make very reliable guns, if you're looking for a pistol I would recommend them along with kimber, and sig sauer. I had an HK USP 40 full size, got rid of it because i didnt feel like toting that big of a pistol when i get my CPL. traded it in for my saiga 7.62x39 and some ammo. later on got a glock 19.... the rifle will go down one pant leg, and the glock in the pocket haha... kidding.
ronin1604
You lost my support at "Kimber". Lol! I hate them above all others. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with.
hot_diggity87
don't be hatin' :P shot my buddies kimber and fell in love with it. no clue how their customer service is, fortunately I don't feel like spending that many snaps for a pistol... if it were a barret .50 cal rifle... id do it in a heartbeat... if the money was there lol. however when it comes to customer service, i usually get my way, i'll fight to the end to make sure they deliver customer satisfaction, after all i am a business man myself, and strive to give our customers complete satisfaction, so i force my outlook on others alot when im bitching over the phone. just gotta know your goal and know you can reach it, higher ups are great after you shit talk some bimbo crack head for 30 minutes.
