Tough To Buy!!!

Hi, I'm 51 and retired Air Force. Carried a M9 as a aircrew member and never had a desire to own a gun until now. I do not like the thought of being told I can't buy a gun. Which I do believe is coming. Therefore, I find myself playing catch up to my friends who own several guns each. I've been to many gun sites and find the same thing, "Out of Stock". Most are not even taking backorder orders Is it going to get worse because this is just a rush to arm? What's the deal?

Don't worry so much about playing catch up. Although having a huge arsenal is a cool thing, don't forget the phrase "Beware the man with only one gun". If you plan to buy a gun just because you might not be able to have it in the future, then there's really no point going through the effort of finding one. I think guns will become more readily available pretty soon, as the Democrats know better than to try to take them away and this current scare will subside. I may be wrong, but I bought mine ahead of time and if life gets real bad, it's easy to use an old SKS or 100 dollar Mosin to get a rifle from a dead soldier, right? I AM NOT ADVOCATING THE VIOLENT OVERTHROW OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT OR THE ASSASSINATION OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS!

"I have always been a soldier. I have known no other life. The calling of arms, I have followed from boyhood. I have never sought another." From The Virtues of War, by Steven Pressfield.

Tough to buy a handgun

I visited my local (much used)gunshop yesterday. They had plenty of sidearms. But not whatI was looking for; a Glock32. Their supplier didn't have it,etc. So what. Other gun stores have other suppliers. You may have to reconcile to something else. In the meantime, start looking at other options,
ie., shotguns and rifles (what you may really need).
Not to worry though, "If" the crap hits the fan and you survive the 1st night without a gun. You'll find them all over the street in the morning.

(You have to look behind all of that outer space stuff)

Back From The Gun Show

Went to gun show and was extremely happy with my purchases. I picked up a Stag 2T along with a Taurus "The Judge". The Judge was for my 80 year old dad. He shot it on Sunday and loved it. I plan on buying some scope accessories for the M4 after my credit card cools off.

Just bought an M9

What did you think of the M9. Just bought one. I have to wait until permits beaureau adds the gun to my permit before I can go shooting. I can not wait to try it out. What did you think. I had to qualify with one every year, but never got to shoot for fun.

Demo

I think the M9 is a fine weapon. It has been very accurate for me and has been very reliable.

M9 Under Flight Suit

I liked shooting it during qualifying, it was great. Nothing against the M9, but it was the wrong weapon to carry concealed under the arm, beneath the flight suit. It was much too heavy and cumbersome with the Air Force issue holster provided to me. I would like to pick one up myself.
