Gloria and i were driving down to the valley, and saw two big rigs i wanted to ask you about.. saw them bout 4 hrs apart.. one while going in, and the other while heading out (60 west of Phoenix) point is they weren't traveling together, and a company i had never noticed before..

First Transport out of Murfreesboro Tenn.. Both conventional cabs, both red, both super clean.. Is this a big company I've just never noticed are what..

One of these days if you have time would you do a post on trucking companies.. I'm betting a lot of us that spend time on the road would like to have a bit of back ground on some of the companies we see..

As an example, I have always heard that "covenant" is one fine company for example.. your thoughts would be appreciated..

to answer you...the crown royal knocked me out...Covenant transport is what is known in the business as a "common carrier"..they will haul freight for anyone / anywhere across the lower 48 states..the other one you mentioned i don't know them...if you check the archives you will find a pic of my kenworth...i have only four and have a exclusive use contract with a major food chain..so i haul products for them to the northwest and return with Washington state apples to north Carolina..i am sure you have read that i am trying to sell out and move to arizona...i have been out there a few times and have a good idea where i want to live...

If i missed anyone sorry.. Ivan, i've often wondered, you see these guys in our part of the country I-10, I-40, hy 60, and 89 which are major, and of course a lot home based out of the deep south..

Know about Covenant, but first time for "First Transport", and as they had two rigs that were not traveling together figured a major operation..

Bud, best of wishes, and promise you when you sell that bussiness, that Larry, Sam, Reap and i sure will help you find a place to live here in AZ .. also promise you that you wont regret it..

All the rest of you guys.. I'm going to just sorta hang out and let the gals fall asleep.. Have one more plate of what i would call "perfect heaven" in the micro to warm up..

WOW what a great day.. Guys to all of you.. Brad.. hope you and your folks had a great day.. Gloria sent her wishes to all of you today which is a first.. Just realization on her end that you guys are like extended family.. So true huh.. anyway. to all of you .. have a great end to your day.. and see you tomorrow..

im done "hanging for a bit" i've got my plate, and now to enjoy...I was saying earlier before this edit that i would sneak back with my plate.. (tee hee heee) I've done it, and in heaven..

I was just mentioning on one of these threads what your niece is dealing with, and want you to know that both her, and your childhood friend (mike hall right?) are in prayer.. Hope you guys had a good day dubya.. We sure did.. Man those girls are growing fast..

Snake.. guy DON'T take this as critisism, just a heads up.. When you say your Uncle "would" have been an A/F pilot thats a big leap if not for a couple of things already.. as being Officer matterial to start with.. Is he a colledge grad.. I'm really not slaping you around Jon this is one of those "learning curve" deals.. If Uncle has the right stuff (means a LOT of things going for him to start with) then its ok to say, other wise its one of those off the wall comments that causes issues.. So was Uncle the "real" deal or what...
