I have one of those nifty Henry survival rifles modeled on the AR-7. Interestingly, the Wal-Mart in St Robert sells those too, for 212 bucks. I'm starting to forgive wally world for all the chinese-made stuff they sell now that the gun counter is turning into a tactical store. Gotta thank Obama for that.

Wally mart?

At my local wally mart, you are lucky if they have 12ga bird shot and that's about it, I quit going there, now it's straight to Sportsman's whorehouse or mail order if I can wait.

It depends on the market. They use demographics to determine what they sell. Around me (in suburbia) it's a little better than just birdshot. They sell a variety of ammo, but that's about it. And it's just 'cause I'm in a slightly backwater suburb. As you get closer to urban centers the less they sell and when you head out to the rural WMs, they carry it all.

BTW, if I had a Sportsman's warehouse around me still, that would be my #1 stop. I miss it.

not sure on the #7 stuff, but very little if any hand guns stuff... when they do .. the white box 100 packs are a great price, but i see them once a quarter..

Hey on the AR-7 .. One of Garys guns im bringing back from SV is the AR7.. the original Armalite as opposed to Henry.. It's available if anyone wants it.. will have them in a week. pm me if any of you tramps are interested..

this is important.. Not trying to sell any of them on here guys.. we all know that doesn't work, and a little reluctant to even mention it.. I will say the price will be right (haven't checked yet) but all goes to sis-n-law and she's fine financially so only hassle is FFL..

My dealer in Wickenburg is also a pal, and I will sell most of them to him..

I'll ask Billy if he is interested in it. He collects Military and the Armalite AR 5 and 7 were actual Air Force survival guns put in the Bombers if memory serves me correctly.

Think the AR 5 was a 22 Hornet.

No sir, he fell into that bullet... Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!

SJB you have a point

interestingly, the one wally mart that has the sparse selection of ammo is in the shittiest part of town, hows that for demographics?.....LOL!

Which is a nice segue

Which is a nice segue into the other thread about a merchant's legal responsibility in selling firearms/ammo.

They probably don't sell much there to ease their potential lawsuits.

My choice for ammo

is ammoman.com and ammo to go since I am on the boat all the time I just order the ammo I want and it is then sent to the house course my next door neighbor used to complain till I gave him some ammo now he likes it when I order ammo

If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

I like the ammoman.com

as well as they pay the freight which can get rather spendy when you order by the crate ;-)
