U.S. Ship hijacked

Thank you President Obama and Hillary Clinton because people on a wooden boat hijacked a U.S. Cargo ship. Can you believe that? Some guys cruising in a wooden boat ordered the Cargo Ship to stop so they can take it over.

Ohmigosh, United States is weak. Countries will not respect weak countries. This just means our fore fathers, people who fought World Wars all died in vein.

Why are Hillary Clinton and Obama telling the Islamic people America will not fight them? WTF is going on? Are the leaders selling us out just like Wall St, AIG, bankers done?

Are you Ready?

The Party is Over!!!

Thank you

President Obama is making friends with Cuba, North Korea, Islam, Muslim, terrorist etc...

Have people forgotten how the Iran President just mocked Hillary Clinton and President Obama as they tried to talk?

Obama is placing America in harms way. If China decides to send troop to United States is Obama going to say, " It's OK folks"

Thank you

Response

I suppose the real question is, will we mount a strong response that will serve as a future deterrent, or will we let this simmer along forever. I am going to reserve judgment while this plays out.

I can fix this

Just allow container ships to carry fire arms. It's fucking insane that they can't and untill they allow them to do so this will continue to happen

Hillary Clinton does not believe in self defense unless they are protecting her. Hillary and Obama want to refuse Americans the right to self defense.

Hillary Clinton and President Obama just care about one thing. That thing is take care of number 1.

Why is everyone so surprised?

I am not amused.

Did you know Hillary and Obama both have 24/7 worth of security with people carrying fully automatic weapons. Hillary says Americans have no need of security....

Thank you

I think we need to be careful what we say if we are to have folks see us as a rational, truthful, and accurate source of information. Hillary has never said that "Americans have no need for security..." That certainly does NOT mean that I agree with her regarding gun rights, but lets keep it real, and keep the intellectual high ground. The issue of gun rights is a constitutional one, and we do not help our cause by demonizing the opposition. As my mom used to say, "you can never make yourself look good by trying to make someone else look bad." We have the better argument. It works. We just need to keep making it.

The bottom line is that a majority of Americans support the right of gun ownership. I do not see that as changing any time soon. just one old farts opinion.

I heard on the show that it was indeed back in our hands and that the rumor was it was a setup. Possibly with our "special forces". Which team they haven't said and probably won't say. As long as you are in international waters you can defend yourself just like your home. This took place in the Indian Ocean 400 miles east of Mogadishu.

True you can do what you need to in international waters, problem is the ships can not have guns in the ports that they go to. It's just STUPID

According to first reports, Capt. Richard Phillips jumped into the water for the second time from the lifeboat on which four Somali pirates had been holding him for four days. This time he made it to safety – possibly helped by US frogmen - giving the opening for the US Navy to attack the AK-47-assault gun-toting pirates who held him. Three were killed and one taken into custody. The captain was held after his ship the Maersk Alabama and crew was briefly commandeered. The rescue took place as the lifeboat was nearing the Somali coast where Phillips could have been made to disappear. He is now unhurt aboard the USS Bainbridge nuclear guided-missile cruiser.

Yes there is a God

Happy Easter to the Captain and his family.
I feel so sorry for those poor underpriveledged pirates. If they only had distribution of wealth like we did, they could just get a gubbermint handout. Then they would have to rob and kill poor white people.

Hijack Update

It was US Navy Seal snipers who killed the pirates by shooting from the deck of the USS Bainbridge, CGN-25, a guided missle cruiser named after

--this from ABC News---
Commodore William Bainbridge, known in no small way for having to deal with pirates.

In 1800, then-Captain Bainbridge was given command of the frigate George Washington and delivered tribute to the Dey of Algiers so as to keep Barbary pirates from raiding American shipping vessels.

Bainbridge is said to have found the job distasteful, but he did it anyway.

By 1801, President Thomas Jefferson had decided that war against the Barbary pirates was a better course than continued tributes and the First Barbary War began (1801-1805).

Bainbridge was appointed commander of the Essex, cruising with other US Naval vessels and fighting the North African Barbary pirates.

He had some successes -- capturing the Moorish warship Mesh-Boha and recapturing an America ship, the Celica.

But in 1803, after Bainbridge -- all of 29 years old -- had been assigned command of the 36-gun frigate Philadelphia in the Mediterranean, his ship ran aground just outside the harbor of Tripoli.

He surrendered and was imprisoned, along with his men, for 19 months. It was a humiliation.

But his career rebounded and after the War of 1812, he led a squadron against the Barbary pirates in the Second Barbary War (1815-1816).

---end ABC News---

Bainbridge was also in charge of the USS Constitution when it fought and beat HMS Java during the War of 1812.
