ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN: An attempt to ban “military style” assault weapons died in committee despite high-profile killings in Seattle last year involving such weapons. Gun-rights advocates packed a Senate Judiciary committee and several senators vowed that the bill would not pass in this or any year.--Bremerton Sun

I got a very nice letter back from my Senator saying he would never vote for such legislation should it get out of committee. I never heard back from the six or seven other legislators I wrote to, including the sponsors.

My friends out there

are always complaining about the weapons restrictions. I have always thought of California to be kind of like the inside of a cereal bowl....what ain't fruits and nuts is flakes.

I lived there for over 40 years and finally came to the land of opportunity (and sanity).

my business partner took her kids down there last summer. It was really wet when they went but the kids had a blast. Every now and then someone finds a decent diamond.

The mine isn't that far from us, I'll have to take her
