House Speaker Nancy Pelosi(synonomous for shit for brains), California Democrat, announced last week that she wants to register guns. Her next move will be to try to confiscate them.

The speaker picked a television show with a viewership of 4.6 million to float the Democrats' coming gun-control push. Questioned on ABC's "Good Morning America" about the prospect of new gun-control laws now that "it's a Democratic president, a Democratic House," she responded, "We don't want to take their guns away. We want them registered."

Politicians and bureaucrats routinely claim that registration helps solve crimes.

Can you not see the reason why the democrat controlled government wants to register our guns? It is so that if your gun is ever stolen by a crack head and then used in a crime, they now have the "motive" to search the rest of your house. How else are they going to sieze our stuff to give it to the welfare offices? How else indeed?

I have one question
If the government is announcing that all firearms are required to be register would that cause the private guns sale go up like the way ammo is going up because some politicians wants to have all ammo to have a registration number on them?

Ammo sales have gone up because gun sales have gone up and guns with no ammo are pretty well worthless.

I'm guessing

Correct me if I'm making the wrong assumptions here but, I think Charlie is talking about a gun being registered when buying it new, and Reaper is talking about buying a gun from John Q. Public or at gun shows second hand. That's just my imagination running wild here and I could be wrong about what one or both meant by their posts. Either of the two can put the dunce hat on me and make me stand in the corner for speaking without raising my hand first if they want.

I will not be wronged and I will not have hands laid up on me. John Wayne in the Shootest. Your a Daisy if you do. Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday.

Guns are not registered when you buy them from a dealer. The ATF form 4473 isn't a registration form, although some might argue that the feds can use them for that. The ATF is not currently allowed to maintain a database of ownership based on the NICS check paperwork.
