I decided I needed to be a little more productive with my time, so I enrolled back into school today. Starting back to school Monday. Hope I'm not to old for it. Lol!

Cool

Go for Aluminum, get certified then give me a holler. If you don't mind travelling some.
You can stay about as busy as you want and make stupid money.

He's just to lazy to do anything with his life. Lost the last 2 jobs I got him, and is now a stocker at Walmart.... Thing that bugs me the most is that he's happy with it.

Let me clarify

I know nothing of ronin's nephew other than what he stated above. My nephews are not in jail, or even wanted. ( well, one of 'em has been). I do feel remorse when a bright and very capable young man just sits on his ass playing games and fucks off all day and calls wal-mart or subway a good job and wants nothing more from life. If I made a statement that led some to believe otherwise , I apologise.

It's hard to fix things that should have been fixed all along. It has to start when they are young.

Psmalone..

I agree. I tried stepping in and getting him on the right path 7 years ago. Wasn't interested, but now when he has nowhere else to go, he shows up.

whats the best (man made obviously) bead you've ever seen..

Ducati.. Looked at one, think it was a 900... one of those odd twins they do with the cylinder sticking up.. anyway this thing was beyond perfect.. honest art..

best man made bead

No competition. I grew up (literally, only other dwelling within 4 miles) with a guy who became a welder. He did further my welding education over what the Army taught Dad and Dad taught me.
This guy could pipeline and fabricate with the best of 'em. Crank the Lincoln diesel up North of 140 amps, grab a bag full of 7018 low-hydrogen rods and just work some magic.
No chipping, no grinding. The beads were so smooth that the slag and flux just peeled off as it cooled. Ready for primer and paint as soon as it cooled.
