Went shooting today

It was my first time, so needless to say my groupings were all over the place. I forgot my camera or I'd post some pics. I was a little surprised that I shot more accurately with the .357 mag that I did the 9mm. 9mm group was like 8 inches at best, .357 mag I shot a couple of 6 and one 5 inch group. I have to admit it, I'm hooked. Guns we shot were Highpount 9mm, .357 mag don't know what kind, 3 different 12 ga shotguns, and a .22 rifle. Can't wait to go again, even the Mrs.had fun.

good to hear

putting bullets downrange is a great stress reliever for me and i find myself blasting around 300 rounds or more when i go,of different calibers too,so you are in good company, what were you shooting at? i get bored with paper pretty quick so i like to roll cans or shoot plastic jugs filled with water or i will line up clay pigeons and blast them too, just follow the basic safety rules when your shooting and keep popping caps.

We shot paper with the

We shot paper with the handguns for a bit then we broke out the shotguns to make sure the targets were good and dead, sooo fun puttin big holes in things. We also shot clay pigeons, out of the air. My bro in law lined up some of our spent shells and blosted them with the .22, I tried but didnt hit any of them.

Save the spent shells for when you are out of clay birds. Shoot them on the fly is fun

Where did you go, and with whom did you go?
I'd planned to go, but put it off too long. First, my wife had some honey-do's, then my younger daughter came over, so the better part of the day was gone.

We went out by Toole

We went out by Toole someplace I've never been I think it was called hastings point, anyway it's out kinda by the salt company there. Was just me my wife and my bro in law. Yeah I know all bout the honey-do's it was after 4pm when we set out 'cause I had my cwp class in the morning and honey do's after that so we only spent a little over an hour shooting. The big bang of the .357 mag is adicting though, so I wanna go out again and soon.

Going back to the shotguns, one of them was a bolt action, I've never seen that in a shotgun before. Is a bolt action shotgun rare or have I just lived a more sheltered life than I thought?

popular anymore. I have a bolt action 410 with a
tube magazine like a auto 22. Holds 6 3in shells.
