in research of automatic firearms, ryo and little brother keep coming across these two. we understand direct gas impingement action such as that of a M16 and also the gas piston system such as that of the AK 47, but it has been difficult even to find diagrams of either of the two action systems in question.
if anybody can help explain how these work and especial if somebody have diagrams to show, ryo and little brother would be very grateful.

Definition for

Definition for "roller-delayed blowback action" : A type of rifle and autoloading pistol firing mechanism in which the bolt does not fully lock against the barrel, but instead a set of bearings or wheels on either side of the barrel move against the slide walls, only allowing the breech to be opened once the gas pressure has subsided to a safe level. The Heckler & Koch G3 rifles and MP5 submachine guns utilize this type of action. - Gun Tec dictionary on midwayusa.com

I can't find lever delay, but it sounds like the type of system used by the Kriss-V submachine gun where the bolt move a mechanism at a 90 degree angle, meaning the mechanical disadvantage causes pressures to subside prior to the bolt opening.

will make his head as big as his butt....LOL
Runaway has spent 20 years in the Army I think 3 tours of fighting agression and is very very knowledgeable in firearms. I pity the poor dummy who would try to rob or break into Runaway's home. Do you know what swiss Cheese looks like? Anyway runaway is very highly respected here and is a great memeber of this site.

it seem runawaygun not know very much about the second type of automatic weapon operation that little brother and ryo describe above. if you have any understanding or knowledge of this it will be very much appreciated.

This is an overview of the Kriss-V submachine gun. The diagram shows the operation mechanism. I don't know if it's the same system you are referring to, but it looks like it might be.
