What do you Carry?
I have a CHL and my carry guns are, Glock 21 and also a Springfield XD40SC. I may trade the Glock 21 for another .45 on a 1911 frame. I would like to find a Colt Commander. Houston, TX area |

I carry a Glock 19 in a FIST,INC #42 Holster. It is a cross draw and it cants out of the way when driving. No need to remove it. Just push it back up when you get out of the car.

i mainly carry a glock 23 in a lower back predator holster. I also sometimes carry my sig p229 9mm in an internal belt knj holster
sytasyn_syn
A large...wait...you meant gun? None yet (Military, not much good in that) but I am deciding between th XD40 or S&W M&P40 Compact.
hankintexas
Anyone wanna trade a for Glock 21? I really like the XD I carry. I passed on the M&P, but it was a close call between the 2.

Try a lightweight commander. A favorite of mine. I carry a 4" python
sytasyn_syn
Oh Yeah? I carry a 7 1/2in Python!! Take that Airborne!
hankintexas
Thats exactly the one I'm looking for. You got one for trade? 4" lightweight commander.
Reaper308

I use a Remington 870 with a smooth bore slug barrel and a rifled choke. Shoot Remington Buckhammers for slugs.
ssdd71
Glock 19 in a Fobus Paddle.
Anonymous
whats that?
ssdd71
Fobus is a manufacturer of holsters. There polymer holsters were one of the first on the market and are deemed by many to be the best at carry and retention.

thanks for the info.
ssdd71
I'd like to try a few others, Mitch Rosen. BlackHawk. or a model in Kydex.

Glock 22 40cal and Kel-Tec 380

I carry a Springfield XD .45 4" service model with the 13 rd clip. I even use the holster that comes with the XD Gear. Not a bad holster but just tryin to find a good nylon at gun shows. Helluva gun.
fordvg
how is the trigger pull on that Springfield XD?
gatorchomp82
It's great, not too loose and not too hard. I have nothing but good things to say about the XD's. My dad has the XD .40 and he loves it also. Great shooting gun that comes back on target pretty quick for a .45. In fact I am thinking about selling mine when Springfield comes out with the .45 in the new XDm series.
BluesHarp
That is what I am waiting for as well. An XDm 45 will be in my future, I hope.
fordvg
The Springfield XDM in a 45 acp and the 40 S&W was the pistols I was looking at. They had both of them, XDM 40 was $608 with 2 16 round mags. and the XDM 45 was $561 with 2 13 round mags. Good price for them.
BluesHarp
them out right now.
gatorchomp82
Thanks i will check them out and hopefully order one soon!!
fordvg
No problem, glad to help.
BluesHarp
That site rocks.

I carry my h&k usp45 compact in a fobus paddle or a general use shoulder holster. Not much variety in holsters for this model, plenty for the 9mm or 40 cal though.

My every day carry weapon is a Glock 27,in a IWB Galco Holster.
runawaygun762
I carry a Glock 18 in a Don Hume IXB holster of Galco kydex paddle holster, and a Glock 26 in a Galco belt slide holster on my weak side. I used to carry my G19, two mags, pepper spray, handcuffs, and asp baton in a pocket in my son's diaper bag. Off-body carry isn't just for women with purses. Babies really are good for something.
Reaper308
you really have a G18?
dave329
Ruger LCP,
just like the kel-tec but better lookin.
Put it in your pocket, or in one of the mentioned Fobus Holsters work great!
DEMO
Walther 9mm PPS. When I go in the woods I carry my Glock 21 with +P ammo
undeniable
I carry a Sig P220 SAS. It's a .45. I carry it on a belt holster strong side. Sometimes I carry a Walther P99 QA .40 in a Desantis IWB holster. Both pistols fit in that holster. I can't remember the brand of my belt holster and it's smoothed off now.

You have to accessorise like clothes...Jeans, Dress clothes and sweats 1911 charles daly .45 acp......Shorts and light weight track pants (gym clothes) s&w sv40
Eturnit3
I know Im probably gonna catch shit for this but... I dont carry, but my wife carries a sig p226.. I just choose to keep the arsenal at home is all.
Reaper308
your right. you probably will catch some shit, but If you don't feel comfortable carring or whatever your reason is.... don't do it. I don't carry EVERYWHERE. I always keep a glock in my truck but only carry on my person a little more than half the time (since half my time is spent in a bar). just kidding. kind of. not really.
How does you wife carry the p226? purse? nice gun.
mrn84d
Everyday........even if it just around the corner to the store or to take the trash out....I would much rather have it on me than to end up stinkin without it
mrn84d
I actually quit drinking just so I don't have that problem anymore, and I have been considering just leaving one in my truck but I just worried that somebody would break in and find it...friend actually has a desert eagle for sale that I was going to buy just for that reason, no way i would carry that beast...well maybe once or twice
Eturnit3
Yeah she had a purse specially made even... she is an employee of the court so I feel its very important for her to carry. I would carry if the ccw wasnt so damned unattainable here in California. But at least I taught the old lady well enough to feel that shes safe it the shit ever hits the fan
runawaygun762
Not G18, G19. Damn, don't I wish?
LLE
