so its 3am, youre half asleep, you hear a suspicious noise, and turns out an armed perp has busted in and is trying to steal your belongings, what gun do you have to neutralize the threat. i keep my mossberg m88 12 gauge under my bed so its easy to reach, and its already loaded with 5 00 buck 12 pellet low recoil rounds for maximum stopping power and a lil less recoil for quicker back up shots. most of my handguns are in my display cabinet but i have a lamp table on the side of my bed that has a glock 19 15 round 115+p+ in its drawer too. what about you guys

oh btw, im just curious about what other people has ready for home defense, and since i have a closed in fence surrounding my house with 3 rottweilers roaming inside the fence, i think i have a fairly good chance of not having to draw a gun on a perp. but if the 3 stooges seemed to be sleeping when a thief comes in, big dog daddy will be waiting with his boomstick.

That is my number one. This was my first gun. I am by far the most comfortable with it, and the accuracy is sick. My husband loves his SW 357.

I would love to keep it under the bed, for easy access, but the kids make that difficult. So for now, it is in a hide away up above. Still easy to access, just not easy for the little ones.

I have my Mossberg 88 right by the bed and have it loaded 00 buck,slug,00, slug and so forth. I figure there is not an intruder alive that can take that combination, even some meth head looking for trouble.

I have a Bushmaster with Aimpoint Comp M3 red dot, three level 3A vests for my wife, son, and I, two Kevlar helmets, and a Blackhawk chest rig with 12 magazines and a can of OC spray. On my side of the bed, I have a Glock 19 wih TLR-1 weaponlight and my wife has a Springfield XD subcompact. I like to have options, from an unarmed illegal asking for water at the back door to an invasion by the 9th Mongolian Horde. Oh, and don't forget my mini wienerdog and toy Pomeranian. They're small, but wiry.

I switch between a Remington model 870 and a Bennelli Super Nova loaded with 00 buckshot and a Rossi model 462 in .357 Magnum where I can reach them if needed, even in the dark. I switch out the shotguns to keep from weakening the mag. springs in them.

I understand what your saying raffy but, I'm a cheap-o. I can buy spring stock from brownells at a good price but, I figure why not just switch the shotguns around every month or so and not have to buy anything.

Glock 21 with hornady TAP +P with surefire light attachment in the nightstand drawer, AR-15 with pelican light, Eotech sight and greenshot laser behind the other bedroom door. Maybe I'll scare the shit out of them when they see me coming at them with that and I won't have to shoot them.

well, i may be a bit nutz on this subject. If the idiot or idiots decide that they want to mess around; they better have kevlar ontop of kevlar around their necks..
I have two chinese fighting swords within reach of my bed, each weighing in at 5lbs. I have a glock 19 hanging under the desk, throwning stars/ knives maybe the bersa in the drawer; It will all depend upon what I am feeling up to that day. Maybe the Highpoint 995, the fun little sucker that it is, maybe the infamous Mossberg 12 gauge with 00buckshot. Who knows what kind of mood I will be in if that day comes.
Well, I could keep going, but I am sure you have better things to do.

I keep my Taurus model 605 under my pillow. That's a .357 mag. snubby revolver. Since I live in a small apartment and I'm concerned about shooting through the walls into my neighbor's apartment, I loaded the snubby with .38+P 130gr. jhp's.
