What is the perfect IDPA gun?
What do think is the perfect IDPA gun? Thinking about getting into the sport and was curious what everyone else uses (think I already know the answer, we'll see though) "Two flags fly above my land that really sum up how I feel. is the Glock 34. I really want one bad for USPSA matches. The G34 or 35 was designed almost specifically for IDPA. I think the Tactical series XD or the Taurus 24/7 OSS with its match barrel should be pretty good too, but the Glock 34 is my pick.

Shakleford, just use the pistol that fits you the best. I like a 1911 or the Taurus 24/7 OSS pistol would be great pistol to use.

Do you own a OSS? I took your suggestion, and took a look at one this past weekend. It fits my hand better then any other gun I have held. Just from looking I was impressed, but I've read a few bad reviews. Have you had any problems? I also can't seem to find a holster for it.

No, I don't own one yet. I'm hoping to buy one in 2 months. Look at the 24/7 OSS in 40 S$W and 45 acp. The 40 for my wife and the 45 for myself. If the gun fits your hand great like you say, I would good with it. Like I said I'm planning on buying 2 of them.

I'am looking at the 9 myself, have plenty of self defense guns. I'd just be using it for IDPA and plinking.....trying to keep the cost down. Hope you get one soon!
