What would Mr Smith do??
Lets' say Mr Smith has $2000 Mr Smith has many pistols, revolvers & shotguns than he can count on two hands and one samurai sword. I forgot to mention he lives in Kalifornia. Should Mr Smith buy a RIFLE or AMMO for his other toys. |

but probably say... a rifle that may get banned by these dems. ammo and mags are always good though
samD
that permits him to pursue his hobby without alot of stupid and archaic useless laws...
fordvg
I would buy more ammo for my toys that I have.

But we don't have a choice. Some, like me, were born here, our families are here and our jobs are here.
Would be rather be in a friendlier state that recognizes our second amendment rights...
HELL YES!!!
But that's not an option for most of us.

should buy more ammo. better yet, get a reloading setup. That 2000 bucks will get a good setup and allow for much cheaper shooting in the future.
Reaper308
I figure... common rounds (especially hunting rounds) will be around forever. the prices may go up and quanity may go down, but they will still be in production. some rifles may not be.

Good call, I didn't notice at first that franko didn't list any rifles. Mr smith definitely needs a rifle, screw the reloader, get a rifle. And a reloader.

...and I forgot he was in cali. All of the rifles that I'm refering to are already illegal there anyway (or had their balls cut off).
my bad franko, I don't really know what I'm talking about. can you guys own a socom? it has a detachable mag, so I don't think so. how about a good old fashion sks?
runawaygun762
Why bother paying the money for a CA legal AR, when the SKS holds as many rounds and is cheaper.
FrankoUSA
Yea the M1A SOCOM are still legal here so far, if you can find one
and if you do they are a least 2k-up
mini-14 are still legal too
SKS are illegal
runawaygun762
They have fixed 10 rd mags. How are they illegal?
FrankoUSA
I think they are; I may be wrong. or you have to modify them (cut the balls off)
undeniable
The fall under curio and relic,so deemed by the gun banners or something. As a matter of fact I just bought one today, but I'm in Az. I'm pretty sure they're still legal in Ca. though.
undeniable
Thats what I heard the other day anyhow, my cousin is looking to buy one and said they are legal there.

This is the legalities on SKS's in California. The Russian, Albanian, Romanian, and Chinese are all legal in CA given the fact that they have a fixed 10 round or under magazine, do not have a grenade launcher attachment, and do not have a folding stock. The bayonet has to have been originally attached, cannot be a aftermarket add on. Th Yugo M59/66 is illegal based on the fact that it has a grenade launcher attachment. I believe that if a yugo's launcher attachment is taken off and replaced with a muzzle brake that they are legal. All this based on extensive research of CA DOJ issue 2007.

Chicnese Norinko Sportster is illegal based on it's shorter barrel and stock.
undeniable
Nothing with a folding stock is legal there as best as I can remember. I'd love to go back and live next to my friends and family but I refuse to ever live in Ca. again. Of course if Obama and his idealogs have their way, we'll all live in something similiar to what is currently Ca.

thanks for the info

Notta problem. I would like toget myself an SKS and I had to learn the legalities of that certain rifle. Actually you just sparked a post that I amgoing to, well, (Post), lol. I will put it in gun topics.
