Im Looking To Buy My First Rifle And Im Having A Hard Time Figuring Out Which Is The Better Weapon.
The AR15 Has Better Acuracy But The AK47 Has Better Stopping Power. The Rifle That I Choose Is Going To Be Used For Hunting As Well As A Defense And Range Weapon.

Welcome to the site.

Welcome to the site. Depending on what type of game you are going for, I feel the AR would be better. The 7.62 is a lower velocity and that number drops into the dirt after a certain distance. Not to mention ammo is cheaper for the 223. All depends on what you are going to do with it!

thanks

thats about the same way the i feel, i kinda feel that the 47 is more of a novelty gun, meaning it looks bad and thats the gun that most people want to shoot if they are not paying for the ammo.
but i think that ill still keep an open mind, who knows i may just buy the ak47 later down the road.

ryo and little brother who is Send it Boi on the site are sitting together, watching movie and enjoying chatting with our friends here at the forum. ryo is new to shooting. only began back in may of this sai (word mean year or years). little brother is qualified expert marksman at the gun club and range our family belong to. all his weapons are AR style rifles. ryo have three AR type rifles and brand new AK 5B Basic Designate Marksman's rifle. ryo like both kind. the AK 5s are all chamber for the 5.56mm x 45mm NATO class rounds. there are five variants on the AK 5 Basic. it is a Swedish make AK style rifle and is newest addition to ryo's little collection. it is one fine shooter too. it is more accurate and shoot farther than any other AK style rifle except for the brand new Israeli make Galil Sniper Rifle. there are number of rifles develop in the Galil series, including several different sniper class rifles, but the newest one they have come out with shoots farther than any other AK class rifle, even ryo's AK 5B. on the other hand ryo own three AR class rifles and honto (word mean true or truth or really) like all of them, including ryo's first rifle, the Walther G22 Black A3 bullpup class rifle, which is ryo's greatest personal treasure cause it was ryo's very first rifle. ryo see much good things about both classes of rifle, the AK and the AR and it really honto hard to put them into black and white category, like this one more reliable, that one more accurate and so forth. these are often subjective things and difficult to pin down. ryo like to keep open mind and appreciate each style. if you on a limit budget then there are rifles of both classes to fit a limit budget neh. so it even hard to say one is more expensive and the other is less. ryo's AK 5B was honto lot more expensive than most if not all AK 47 neh. (neh is convention in nihongo language that mean roughly: are you with me so far) nihongo is actual name of the japanese language.
again welcome to the site and hope you enjoy all your visits here and that you make many friends and that you will have lots fun and make contribution to site in terms of your input and what you have to share with knowledge and questions too.

from your new friends,

Hope, and pretty sure you will like it here. I'm sure you will enjoy the good people that are regulars here.
Bottom line on your question is simple, you can't go wrong with either weapons system. Think im going to be a decenting voice here, and believe me both Litte Dragon, and Mike are experts on the subject, and while ive shot both rifles many times (had to qualify with the 5.56 with agency, but with mini 14 from Ruger) I've never owned either, where Mike and L.D. have. In my openion there is no question that the AR is a better quality, and more advanced weapons system.... However, (aint there always a but) My experiance in our part of the world is that 7.62X39 ammo is cheaper to buy. (obviusly check your local, as this is important) Also, seems i see AK's at a lower price almost alway than AR's.. Both have features unique to the individual piece, but as stated the 7.62 also has a bit more stoping power. Again, you can't go wrong with either, and welcome to the site.

Ak47 or AR15

People are right, bullets are cheaper for AK47, but aside from the cost you have to ask yourself two questions. Am I going to be shooting close range or far away. Second am I able to accurately keep the AK-47 kick stable to use its fully auto capabilites? If not then dont use an AK-47, I have found the AR-15 to be accurate and it's kick is almost laughable. The AK-47 was powerful, loud and sprayable. IMHO I would take the AR-15 on a hill with at least some type of sight you prefer and take the AK-47 for meduim to close range course I.E. Hogans alley style or other pop up targets at a close range.

AK or AR for hunting

What are you hunting? 7.62x39 is a far superior round for deer and other med game. The .223 is illegal for use on deer in some states. If varmints and predators are your game, .223 is much better. Stopping power comparisons in rifles is an unnecessary pursuit. I can take a 55 gr Hornady V-Max and do significantly more damage than you can with nearly any AK round made. The stopping power debate between these two rounds has always been between military rounds, and the AK is a superior round at distances over 100 meters when it hits something. For civilians not subject to the law of land warfare rules, the types of projectiles available make the pipsqueak .223 a very effective antipersonnel round
