Who Am I?

I was born in one country, raised in another.
My father was born in another country. I was not his only child.
He fathered several children with numerous women.

I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me.
My mother died at an early age from cancer.
Later in life, questions arose over my real name.
My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.

I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s.

They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything.
That reinforced my conceit.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances.

This bolstered my ego. At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country.

But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free. I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.

I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all people. I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support.

I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope', together we could change our country and the world. So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like the Jews.

My true views were not widely known & I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader. I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people
I associated with. I'm glad they didn't.

Then I became the most powerful man in the world.
And the world learned the truth.

Who am I?

I wish I could agree with you ssrs10, but with the mental and political state of our country, I am not suprised. Samd is a crafty old man, and quite frankly it appears he is THE most respected member of our growing community! ;) (jealousy rears it's ugly head) It is amazing to me that the media allowed for this duplicity in thinking to occur with the way they covered Mr. Obama.

I would never call you dumb. I thought of Mr. Obama immediately, I guess, I was projecting thoughts of conformity. I was merely stating that I was not suprised with the comparrison of Hitler and Obama based on history and actions. If this projection was unfounded, I apologize to you.

Let Freedom Ring Now is the time for all good men to up for our constitutional USA and against Progressive Socialist takeover!!!!!!!!!!

that pretty piece of coincidental prose:

That after 1/20/09-

>We are going to have brown shirted bullies roaming the streets
>We are going to have a Gestapo, checking "papers"
>We are going to have an SS, operated out of the White House
>We are going to have a new halocaust started--Christians first, then Jews
>We are going to have those infidels rounded up and put into the FEMA concentration camps

What do you think might happen, if something remotely similar was attempted in the good old USA??

My family made it here as displaced persons after WWII. They were catholics who survived Aushwitcz. Hitler hated everyone including brown haired, brown eyed catholics who did not fit his formula.
One thing my grandmother emphasized was the 2nd Amendment. If anyone tried to pull that shit in America whether it be killing gays, blacks, jews or christians- people like you and I would be standing strong with our rifles to preserve 'our' rights.
Thats the difference- we will fight for each other even though we may not agree with each others idealologies.
This is why I get pissed off when people bitch about how American sucks and is oppressive. Try it anywhere else in the world and you would get shot. We are so spoiled in this country. Imagine complaining about gay rights in China.
So in the end, I am opposed to many of Obama's ideas but still have hope for his presidency because he is our president. The left compared Bush to Hitler too and it was also bullshit. He will not change anything. The federal government will still be bloated and corrupt after he is gone. We will still be the greatest country to live in. Just stay away from my guns....

LLE it is only

food for thought and the correlation is in the mind of the beholder. Does ring familiar, though, doesn't it?
He will never be able to attain this kind of power, try as he might.

but there are notable differences, none the least of which are :

Co-opting of a weak President versus being ELECTED President

and A 14 year unsucessful experiment with "democracy" versus a 225+ year successful development of the most powerful democratic republic on earth.

I am not too concerned about HIS attaining that "kind of power", but what about the NWO's who might view this as the time to strike?

What do we have now?

Why do we not have the "Department of Domestic Security"? Why is is Homeland Security? Hell, why not "Department of the Fatherland Security"? The issue of big brother, the erosion of our civil rights, the expansion of the government, all of this is not a partisan problem. Republicans want absolute power over the lives of the citizenry just as much as Democrats. Make no mistake about it, we have no friends on Capitol Hill.

I can't remember the name of the one card, but it was a baby with tatoos and a cigar and his stroller had guns and cannons and stuff. It was cool.
