Guys- I think the government will become a socialist government within the next few years. This will create a large problem when the people discover many of their freedoms will be taken for the common good.
The stimulous bill is a lie that is part of a bigger picture. The Democrats are destroying us from within. The dollar will be worthless in a nother year due to deficit spending to the insane max. 3 trillion dollars in the first 30 days of the administration, more than Bush spent in 8 years of war.
The stimulous is a socialist spending package that creates more dependence on the government and removes the economic freedom from the privte sector.
The media and liberals will learn eventually of their lost freedoms and riot. This is the perfect storm Regan reminded us of. The democrats are the most fascist part of our society that have convinced us that the right wingers are facist. They are tolerant only when you agree with all of the weak inded unresponsible activity that they embrace.
Once people wake up we are already screwed. Social programs once started never end, just bloat up and get larger due to government dependence.
I truely believe that the Clinton administration wanted to crash the banking industry in order to nationalize it. Each time the Republicans worned us about it, they were deposed by being called racist, greedy and evil. But they were speaking of responsibility and behavior in a society that can not exercise self control anymore.
Once people such as myself, who have lived responsible lives, lose their jobs, have their firearms taken and then have our children "re-educated' by the government we will riot. Then the government will need to put down our fight......

At this point we have so many people that rely on government for housing, food, clothing and energy that we will never have voters turn down their handout for the better common good. Everyday more immigrants come here to work when we have people here on welfare that will not. What the fuck? Newt Gingrich tried in the 1990's to curve welfare on a federal level which the states such as New York, Illinois, California just made up the difference. Now these states are bankrupt because of handouts (both Medical and substinance )and want responsible states such as Texas, Georgia and Alabama to make up the difference.
Am I way off? I am well educated (still can not spell)and see the government spending practices as illegal. If Ford Corporation or you did spend and accounted for cash flow like the government you would get locked up.
I can only view the Democrats in a reactionary way. They have to know what their doing. Judging by how they want social change by any means, I think they realize what their doing. They are not stupid. Every action has a counter reation.
They have taken legislation to court to overturn the will of the people. Gay marriage, gun control and abortion are some the legislation passed by the people which were voted on that were overturned by courts because the Democrats did not like the vote.
Now I am upset with the Republicans for not fighting, communicating and winning the legislative process. Bush was a poor communicator and the media and Democrats made him appear ridiculous. He had solid ideas which never were accomplished because he did not communicate to the people properly. 1. The housing crisis was predicted in 2000 by the Bush administration, but as soon as the media began calling him racist for not wanting poor people own houses- he backed off. 2. Energy independence was on the agenda and he predicted high energy costs in 2000 but backed off when the media called him an oil man.
Sarah Palin had some great points but does not have the 'star power' to get elected. You need to be a movie star to get elected in this country. Noone else comes to mind. Mcain was correct on many levels but is not a star. fuck

is most probably because a US Army Brigade was assigned to Homeland Defense late in 2008. There are now many alternate pieces of legislation which circumvent the original Posse Comitatus law, and permit the use of our military in active law enforcement under certain defined cicumstances.
So it is not surprising that a procurement for "riot gear" is being issued.

I have been a Soldier for 13 years, and a Military Policeman for eight of those. We have always had riot control gear. If you look, it was from Ft Leavenworth. They use the gear in the prison and all posts have it for riots and demonstations at our gates. Ft Benning, GA had huge demonstrations at the gate by people protesting the School of the Americas and here at Ft Huachuca, we had a demonstration at the gate because people thought they were teaching torture techniques to foreign students. In addition to that, I have been in street and detention camp riots in Iraq and we took our gear on deployment with us. Don't be concerned about units buying riot control equipment, it's part of our MTOE and we are required to maintain it in the inventory. I'm a right-winger too, but this conspiracy theory is not even worth worrying about. A damned 22 LR will go through a riot shield.
