Hmm

I kind of like it. Probably won't get it. It's still too "Glockish". Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just not my preference.

Sig 290
Sig p290 9mm

Sig 244

Sig p244 40, 357 sig and 9 mm

Though, Sig triggers are definitely Combat Triggers, they can be tuned.

Also want an X series single action, though I would rather have the frame and build my own with the parts I select or have made.

but as LBC mentioned, I gotta have an extended mag, somewhere for my 'pinky' to reside, control is Paramount when dealing with the hand cannon....IMO

Might sound odd, but

I grew up working with Milwaukee Screw Guns and Hammer drills. I learned to use my middle finger for the trigger while wrapping my index and thumb up around the rear of the body and my ring and pinkie fingers gripped the handle.

On a sub compact this is how I actually shoot the damn things. Driver people up a wall and the comments never cease, but they do admit I can shoot the damn things. From belly button to belly button or out to 21 feet I can up and out with a sub compact and put every round in a 3 inch circle and never lift it higher than just above my belly.

I figure the reason it makes it so easy to control, is the leverage it promotes on the pistol and the fact that my wrist is rock stiff and so is my shoulder so that my forearm, wrist and firearm bounces
very little straight up and down with about 1 inch vertical range of motion.

When we have the GS meeting, I'd like some pointers from you if you don't mind. I'd like to see this (I'm more of a visual guy), and maybe you can help me train myself out of teacupping my 1911.

I can't see why they can not have the same width frame and slide on the full size that they have XDS?

To me this would make it a much easier pistol to carry and possibly shoot. I know that my two handed grip would fit much easier on the slimmer frame for sure. Which would give it a more tactile feel, more natural.

This is one of the reasons I think S&W got it right with the M&P, the grip swells and shape along with the rake make it a more natural as well as comfortable shooting pistol.

Honestly hope they consider cutting down on the blocky bits.

now speaking for myself, I would like to carry a .45 (not my 1911) and this seems to be the answer, maybe just me.

XDS or Glock...

Sig 245 is nice also and the M2 is, but both of those are not near as compact as the Glock or what the XDS is described being.

I'll shoot one in the near future I'm sure, let you know what I think. Hell if I remember to pack my Camera in my truck I can start doing short reviews when I shoot different stuff...
