You'll shoot your eye out!!!
Schuyler brought up an excellent point in another discussion that an air rifle/pellet gun would be a good asset to have in a survival situation. I agree. What kind of air rifles do you guys have, and how do you like them? I'm searching a little bit online right now. I am more interested in something that produces 1000-1200+ FPS, but you all can talk about your Red Ryders if you want. Anyone have a Gamo? "Proelium Comminus Auctoritate"

.177 or .22 cal?
HKBauer
i would go with the Gamo Whisper in .177 because of the easy access to ammo around here, .22 pellets are hard to find asround here.

I'm looking at it right now, I also like the bone collector. I think they're pretty much the same rifle. I agree about the .177, but wanted to hear everyones opinion.
HampsterW
bone collector without the iron sight.
Reaper308
was the one I was checking out. It does have the iron sight

Does anybody remenber and can you still get 22 cb caps. they only made a small pop when fired. I know of people that poached dear with these by shooting them at night with lights and in the head.
Larry Wagner
yea you can still get CB caps & shorts. Most major distributors have them or go directly to Mfg web site.
HampsterW
comes with a laser and light, I like it.

been in the family for years. It is an old Benjamin .177 cal. The old thing shoots like a dream. With three pumps of her she will shoot through a 3/4'' board at 30 paces. I have shot many sap suckers and small animals with it. It almost looks like your carrying a 12 gauge from a distance untill you see the small tube on the top off it.

My first rifle was actually a Sheridan pump up pellet rifle. Wish i still had it, or even knew when it went would be good lol..
Now have a Sheridan pistol..Only id on it says its an E series Racine WIS, 5 mm this on L of bbl.. It's a target piece. Shares the same grip angle as the Ruger and Browning 22's.. I'm guessing (have it in hand at the moment) its a 7" bbl.. rifled, wt around 30 oz.. Nice and super accurate little compressed air single shot..

Silent Cat....177 with a silencer and scope....it is a fuckin blast!!!!1200fps ....i was shooting with my daughter and we ran to Cabela's as soon as we shot thru the 50 complimentary pellets that came with it.I paid 170.00 for it off of auctionarms with shipping and handling brand new.only cause the box was damaged. They normally go for 200.00 or so.i highly reccomend it. Its basically the Whisper model.

My son already has a Red Ryder that grandma and grandpa got him (To which I've already attached a 3-point sling), but I think I might get me one of those adult air rifles. For when I become an adult.

But you're in cuba, so you cant shoot anything anyway. Are you gonna plink at prisoners that misbehave?
tallguy007
