Mine, was a single shot Ithica 410, it had a lever action like a rifle, except the lever opened the barrel. It had a hammer that you had to cock to fire it, I loved it and shot a lot of rabbits with it. I still have it and it still looks like new, not bad for a 40 year old gun, I got it when I was 11, lol. I wish I had a son to pass it on to, not sure what I will do with it now. The first gun I ever bought was a Frenchi semi auto 3" 12 gauge, ended up giving it to my brother.

most of my fire arms are older than i am my ivor jonson is 50+ years old and my sterlingworth fox is from 1903. both of those came from my grandpa. one of my uncales think hes going to get it when grandma passes but no way. the arminius was bought in 75 and given to me by my other uncle last year. i love my off named guns people call junk but thay work better than most.

Mine was a Stevens over and under .410/.22 handed down to me from my pap. It has little hash marks on the stock where he marked his kills with it when he was younger. Learned to squirrel hunt with that gun. Still have it and always will.

My G-pa Passed early never knew him, and lost my pop at 16, so that's about all I have left of them. Pop's did buy me a new 870 Remington when I was 12 for C-mas and a Remington 542 the next yr. These were all hand me downs My first was Monitor single shot .410 when I was 9 shot 34 Pheasants with it the first year! and then ALSH, I got the rest a Winchester Model 12, Remington Model 52 only shoots shorts, S&W .32 Top break and a Winchester .270 Thanks for bringing back some memories!

All you can do is take your own sons hunting and start the tradition there. My dad is older and no longer hunts, he still comes up to the hunting camp right after thanksgiving and stays until monday night. Hunting my my Dad, drothers, Uncles and Cousins are some of the best memories I have.

I've seen a lot of those, some that are like the Civil War Gatling guns, and some that are like a WWII AA gun, always thought it would be fun to build one.
