Zombie Targets?

Me and a buddy of mine were bsing today about the CDC's article on the zombie apocalypse, which led to our contingency plan if the zombie outbreak does occur.

Which led to my Idea of Zombie Targets. I started looking around and found some pretty good ones from LE Targets. Just wondering if anyone has used these targets or any other zombie targets.

Thanks for the link.

I think that the article was just a stunt from the CDC for some media attention and also as a way to get others prepared for an ACTUAL emergency such as tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes and/or floods.

There is a Zombie Shooters Association now.

I am a Member but have not gone to any matches yet because of not being able to travel at this point in time.

Cliff got me into it on a fluke.

Wow;

I never would have guessed. The only zombie competition I have seen is OutBreak: Omega. Its a 3 gun competition held by DPMS each year.

Now that looks like it would be some fun with some great people.
You know there are ZSA shoots up your way if your of mind to go to them. Really good people associated with it. I had one guy that was asking me to come up to a match and he offered for me to stay at his home with him and his family to help keep travel costs down. Never even met this guy face to face and he offered it without second thought.

Granted being friends with Cliff people know he wouldn't associate with me if I was any kind of threat, but still..

One thing I have learned about most shooters, they are up front and to the point. Not into Wagging the Dog so to speak.

yeah looking at all of the pictures I was very interested in going. even if just to watch and hang out. But being in MN, makes it a little out of the way atm. But thanks for the ZSA link. Definitely looking into that now.

From my very little experience most in the shooting community (And from my experience, I mean this website, a couple of friends, my local shooting club, and youtube channels) are good people. Probably one of the reasons I like this community so much.

As a matter of a fact, just last weekend I did. Maybe I'll post a pic of it. My son, brother, nephew, and I all went out to the range. My son saw those zombie targets at the office and wanted one, so I let him. He got the Zombahir (rag-head zombie). I let him shoot it for a good while before I took a couple of shots at it. I like these kind of things. bin laden targets. Hostage targets. I like to get myself a scenario when target shooting as it is, so these things help.

Me too. That and the added bonus of me being a bit of a zombie fanatic.

Are the targets good targets? What are they made of?

Zombie targets

Pretty much the same as any other silhouette target. It's paper. It's not thin paper though. They're good. It's absolutely worth the price.

Thanks. Thats all I really needed to know. Was just curious if the targets were made of that thin paper that will rip from the stand in wind.

I'll probably be picking up a few just to mess around with. Me and the friend I mentioned earlier will definitely enjoy using them.

No problem. Here is the target we used:

Zombhir target
Me and the kid just shooting for fun. I circled my hits. I only took 6 with .45ACP. The kid shot the rest with his Ruger 22/45 and my Dad's CZ75.

Wow I like that. The printing looks pretty good. What is the size on that thing? Close to life size?

Thanks for the info. I'll probably grab a few just to fool around with.
