The M82 was developed by the American Barrett Firearms Company as a high powered heavy sniper rifle.
The rifle is currently used by many armies and units around the world, including the American Special Forces. The M82 is also called the "Light Fifty" for its powerful .50 caliber BMG (12.7 mm) load. The weapon is made in two variants — the original M82A1 (and A3) and the improved bullpup M82A2. The M82A2 is no longer manufactured, however the XM500 can be seen as its successor, in that the XM500 also employs a bullpup configuration.

I can say that an 11 round semi auto .50cal that has the felt recoil of a standard 12ga pump is beyond impressive. It is addictive! It is one of the things that I feel is as good as it gets with your clothes on...

come on guys this may be a good weapon and all does anyone reely want to carrie this brut. If you have to move fast your screwed and the ammo is rediculously heavy i know it can shoot a long way this weapon should be mounted to a vehical not carried by a man you cant carrie enough ammo to be affective
