To unlock, the barrel of the pistol is cammed down by the interaction of the shaped cam on the frame parts and the barrel. The frame of the pistol is made from a significantly strong polymer; the slide of the pistol is made from steel. The CZ 110 similar to the CZ 100 is a striker-fired pistol; the firing pin (striker) of the pistol can be fully cocked by the slide retraction cycle of the weapon and then, if immediate fire is not required o of the weapon, can be brought down to rest near the decocking lever. The only other safeties on the pistol are a loading chamber indicator and an automated firing pin block. The weapon obviously is designed to be carried with loaded firing pin and chamber at the rest, and to be fired Double Action. But, on the CZ 110 if one is required to fire the first shot more precisely (in single action mode) it is possible to self cock the striker by partially retracting the slide on the weapon(by about 10 mm or 3/8 inch).
The weapon is vailable in 9 mm Luger, 9x21, or .40 S&W calibers, the new CZ 110 pistol showcases a steel slide, polymer frame, high capacity magazine, extra accurate hammer-forged barrel, safety stop on the firing pin, loaded chamber indicator, decocking button, accessory rail, cocking indicator, and SA/DA trigger mechanism.

I think CZ must come up with a mechanical device incorporating it in the design that would cock the striker so it can be fired on SA instead of retracting the slide 10mm. Is that a decocker lever that's situated behind th trigger and above the the pistol grip? Maybe they can modify that, that if pulled downward would decock the striker and pushed upward will then cock it back to SA. With such an improvement I think CZ would have a very good gun in that category...
