$1,700-$2,100. not sure about the legal status in CA. It may have to have a fixed mag... this one has a detachable box mag. they might make a CA legal version.

Thanks again for the info Reaper308. I have my eye on a Remington
700 .308 with a Russian scope, I thinks it's a ATN 3-9-55 power, used and
in great condition for $1200, is this a decent price??

Thank you.

For that price you can buy a new Leopold scope. I would buy a Leopold in a Var-3 like a 8.5x25x50 from Midway USA for a $1,000.00 new.

Harold, It is a great weapon. However, The regular 700 is only about $650 I think and your scope is only worth $150. The price of $1200 is not worth it. Now if it is a variant of the 700 then this info might change the value of the set. If it does turn out to be an upgraded version of a Rem. 700 then having that scope on it would be like painting your brand new Lexus Avocado green. Get what I'm saying?

I will look into it, and see if it is the upgraded version, if not then I
will look elsewhere.

Thanks.

The Remington 700 VSF in .308 is a great rifle it you want a 700. Should be able to buy one for around $1,000 to 1,100 for one. VSF 700 has a H&S Precision stock and a heavy bull barrel. I plan on buying one himself when I get some money. This is a great rifle.
