The CZ 85 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered for 9mm Luger. The pistol was manufactured and produced in Czechoslovakianow the Czech Republic) by Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ).
The CZ 85 is an updated version of the popular CZ 75 model which has slight modifications made to internal parts in order to increase reliability. The CZ 85 is also equipped with an ambidextrous safety switch and slide stop, making the weapon suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The magazine of the pistolholds up to 16 rounds.
The CZ 85 was one of the popular competitors in the US Army service pistol competition throughout the late 1970s-early 1980s.
