Combining tradition with technology, and maintaining the best features of Franchi’s previous auto-loading shotguns, the I-12 Upland Hunter marks the beginning of an innovative line of light, fast, reliable auto-loaders designed specifically for upland bird hunters.
The new Franchi I-12 Upland Hunter is the first of its kind among upland field guns. The single barrel model is Inertia Driven® and it embodies the feel of a 20-gauge, but provides the punch of a 12-gauge shotgun. This has been accomplished by slimming down the dimensions of the laser-checkered stock and removing excess metal from the barrel and receiver. The fore-end has been trimmed to the dimensions of many 20-gauge models for quicker, more comfortable handling. The Upland Hunter’s slim pistol grip features laser-cut checkering for an attractive gripping surface.
Weighing in at 6.3 pounds, the I-12 Upland Hunter is built around a lightweight, aluminum-alloy receiver strengthened with steel inserts that allow for a solid, steel-to-steel lock up. The 26-inch barrel sports a ventilated rib and your choice of five choke tubes.
The A-grade walnut stock is oil finished to complement and enhance the wood’s beautiful grain pattern. The patented Twin Shock-Absorber™ recoil-reducing system diminishes felt recoil up to 44 percent, making the I-12 Upland Hunter an absolute pleasure to shoot.
