Glock 21C

The sole difference between the Glock 21 and the Glock 21C is that the slide and barrel are compensated on the C model to significantly reduce muzzle climb while firing the pistol.

Firing G21C

I bought my Glock 21C months ago and went to my local range with it alongside my Glock 17, G21C is something that criminals'd think twice about being shot by it period and due to "compensated" model, i really love it because there's so little recoil with it which enables me to do a quick follow up shots and it's perfect for home defense and combats, I do certainly wish that the troops'd carry this as their primary sidearm instead of that crappy Beretta M9 that they carries in combats!

I've shot the 21sf and love it. It's my uncle's gun and I took my permit to carry test with it. I put 50 rounds in a 8 inch group. i was very impressed with how it handled and thought, i gotta get one. then I heard about the compensated model and it seemed like a no brainer. but then I thought about shooting it in a defense situation at night. And so the question is, How bad is the flash from the porting? Will it cripple one's ability to effectively defend themselves?

Thanks

21c night shooting

it will definately hinder follow up shots, as the ports direct the controled explosion upwards just behind the front sights.

Brass Tacks!

I concur! The .45 ACP was (and is) desiged to be a combat weapon -- Period! From stopping crazed Mauri warriors to crazed dope heads -- nothing strikes fear into the hearts of your enemy than staring down the barrel of a .45 at close range (less than a foot pointed between the eyes)! I brought a Glock 21c down range and used it in a raid against the Taliban in southern Afghanistan and the look of shear terror on the "alleged" terrorist's face was priceless when I had him at near point blank range. Now that Glock makes a high capacity .45, I hope they (our government) will re-consider what our duty weapon should be barring politics. Some of the Afghans have begin to call me "Dirty Harry" because of the big gun. Good! Let them spread it around to their raghead buddies that we (I) mean business! Well, anyway the .45 ACP is a real bad guy stopper in 1 shot -- no double-tap needed! Keep the 21c, the flash is manageable! Hooah!
