GlockMan Posted: May 31, 2007 The Glock 29 is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by the Austrian company, Glock Inc. and introduced in 1997.
The G29 is a large frame sub compact Glock slightly larger than the Glock 26 however fires 10mm Auto ammunition. The Glock 29 is built on the same frame as the Glock 30, however the Glock 20 chambered for .45 Auto (ACP). Because 10mm Auto ammunition is very powerful, this ultra-compact pistol is rarely encountered in the field. The Glock 29 is mainly being used in the United States as a self defense pistol. The G29 has a 10 round magazine capacity.
The Glock 29 comes standard with a double recoil spring which makes the powerful 10mm load very manageable even with such a small pistol.
The G29 operates and holds the same components as the subcompact Glock 26 but all parts of the pistol have been adapted to the 10mm Auto ammunition.
