The Glock 30 is a pistol manufactured by the Austrian company Glock. The G30 is a small frame, sub-compact, high caliber, Glock modeled after the Glock 29 and fires the powerful .45 ACP ammunition.

The Glock 30 uses a modified Glock 29 frame, modified slide, .45 ACP barrel, and magazine but these differences to the Glock 29 are quite minor and the weapon looks precisely identical to a Glock 29. The G30 is a very popular carry pistol and self defense pistol within the United States of America because .45 is a very popular selection of ammunition in the United States of America. The Weapon has a 10 round magazine capacity that comes standard, but can also utilize 13 round magazines from the standard full-size Glock 21 as well as a perfect fitting 9 round magazine for greater concealment.

I purchased my first glock last week--glock 30. My father and I were checking zero on our hunting rifles. He wanted to see my "2x4" gun (refering to the way that it looks like a framing stud). We loaded it with our reloads, lead semi wad cutters. I pulled the trigger and it fired nicely; however, the spent casing was not expelled. I had heard that glock had problems with lead bullets. I said ok, lets try the copper encapsulated semi wad cutters. I fired again with the same result: a "phase three" jam. I did not know what it was called until I started doing some research. I brought up my 1911 circa 1913 US Army. I wanted to see if maybe the reloads were short on powder. The 1911 functioned perfectly with both types of bullets. My father pulled out his Kimber and fired both the lead and the copper encapsulated rounds with no problems. Can anyone here help me with my dilemna? I am going to the range tonight to shoot ball ammo to see if they will cycle. Furthermore, I have had an HKUSP 45 for 10 years and it has cycled everything I have loaded.
thank you for your time

I have a Glock 26 and I might buy a 30 soon. I'd rather get a Kimber 1911 but they are way expensive. We'll see. I need a .45 to carry. Glock 30 would probably work well. That Kimber is so pretty though.

My Glock 30 is by far my favorite handgun.

Have close to 1000 rounds through it mostly Hardball factory, I have had only one failure to feed but it was with a Kriss Super V Mag 30 rounder first time I used it after that 100%, lot of fun but can get expensive in a hurry.

I have found it to be very easy to shoot accurately, extremal reliable and nice to carry.
